Good God... how did they win best soap? The best soap is Molten Brown. Fact. (Lime and Patchouli, specifically!) What with dozy Rosie, booed Jude and airy-fairy Rosemary... think we'll all be reaching for the remote control by the time Jude has emerged from his kennel!

Can't blame people for assuming he's in the wrong-he nearly always is!

Honeyroar · 20/06/2018 13:32

Just watching catch up now. Kate really does look like Dorothy!

How did Peter find out? And has Eva officially taken Susie back?

Surely Jonny will just ruin his chances of any relationship with his granddaughter by going for custody. That family (they remind me of The Adams family) must have a never ending pot of money for lawyers and court cases. Alya is looking like they're not going to have her cope well running the factory- she might need the family involved. (Carla used to be so gorgeous but all I can see nowadays are her weird eyebrows).

SuperSuperSuper · 20/06/2018 13:49

It's realistic that Johnny wants custody (knee-jerk reaction driven by grief and anger). However, it won't be realistic if it gets dragged out, because no solicitor would be happy to take it on - he's 70 and has MS, and his wife kidnapped a kid.

Eastie77 · 20/06/2018 14:34

Toyah told Peter. She realised deep down Eva wanted the baby back. I suppose Eva has 'reclaimed' her but they are all still living in the pub so not much has actually changed except I suppose Eva does the night shifts now instead of ToyahGrin

If Johnny is supposed to be 70 he looks good for it!

Hygge · 20/06/2018 15:41

I think the actor who plays Johnny is only 62 or 63, and the character is said to be about a year older I think.

I still think he's going to stay with Jenny as she will be better for his custody battle than Liz.

The writers will conveniently ignore the kidnapping and such, and Adam seemed angry enough to act as the Connor's lawyer, at least for a while.

It will all come out though and Eva will leave, because she can't realistically stay, living with Peter and across the road from Johnny, the other end of the street from Adam.

Deadringer · 20/06/2018 16:54

Would the baby have a claim on Aidan's estate, even with a valid will? And if so why haven't the Conners thought of that. I am sick of Sean looking worried, just bloody tell Fizz you need somewhere to live and go and get your job at the factory back.
or better still leave Weatherfield forever

feltcarrot · 20/06/2018 17:30

Don’t know if anyone else has commented but Kayla reminds me of Michelle Keegan, looks wise as well as her voice.

cloudyweewee · 20/06/2018 18:21

Last night reminded me of how good Peter is. He's been waiting a long time for a storyline to get his teeth into.

Thesearmsofmine · 20/06/2018 20:09

Just caught up on last nights episode. I wondered that about the will too? I just can’t see Alya running the factory long term, and now with Sarah Lou as her sidekick(why has Sarah Lou stayed at the pub if she has so much experience in fashion?).

HettySunshine · 20/06/2018 20:59

Also, would Aalia not have had to advertise the job before she just employed her mate from the pub? I can imagine some of the women from the factory being a bit miffed.

millimat · 20/06/2018 21:50

Felt really sorry for Peter last night.
And yes I agree about how Kate looks like dorothy Grin

EachandEveryone · 20/06/2018 22:05

I actually thought Michelle Keagan was bavk in it last night thar waitress sounds just like her!

CourtneyLovely · 20/06/2018 23:00

I stopped watching for a couple of months because I couldn't stand the dreaded P**n. Been watching it again and came here to ask why Sean is jobless but it seems nobody knows...

So I'll give my opinion on the menfolk of Weatherfield instead! Firstly, Tyrone is maturing really rather well, isn't he? When on earth did that happen? Secondly, am I alone in fancying Johnny? Obviously atm he's either being nasty or crying but normally I think he's rather lovely. And lastly, Peter. Woah. I've always liked him, partly because I think he's the spitting image of Terry Hall, but he just seems to have ramped it up this last week! I think I need a lie down...

VanGoghsDog · 20/06/2018 23:13

Yes, the baby could challenge the will with a "reasonable expectation of support" claim, once paternity is proven.

ellenanora5 · 20/06/2018 23:48

Why did Sean get sacked from the doctors, and where is all the money he earned when he had two jobs, factory full time and part time in the pub whilst he lived in the ever expanding house that is/was Eileens that surely couldn't have been huge rent, it's not as if he went anywhere to spend his money, I wonder does he pay maintenance for Dylan.

Anyway, no way will Johnny get custody and yes I hated the way Suzie was passed around like that, she's not bloody pass the parcel.

Loving Peter, but I always did, he is gorgeous Grin I hope he doesn't hit the bottle.

Clionba · 21/06/2018 06:08

I can't stand the way that Johnny is so cruel to Jenny. I know he's grieving, but still. Sean must be in his 40s, has always worked and only ever rented rooms from friends. He should have money, even in the short term? I have no idea about his jobs or what's happened there. The Corrie bosses are making their classic mistake of choosing an "issue" and slotting it onto a character, instead of it being character driven.

kikashi · 21/06/2018 08:38

This is what I seem to remember but who knows?

Sean crowed many months ago that he had a bar job in a trendy city centre bar. I'd forgotten it was the Health Centre he had been sacked from (not the factory). I think he was gossiping to Eileen in Roy's cafe and let something slip about Angie and Jude coming in to the health centre (he was annoyed with them because they had been giving hm a hard time at Norris's about leaving dangerous stuff around for George). Angie and Jude complained to Moira or the head GP (can't recall) and he was instantly sacked. Later that day he was sacked from the Rovers (and never a mention of hotpot again) and Angie /Jude chucked him out of Norris's house.

Sean should be totally minted.

kikashi · 21/06/2018 08:47

Not that I care at all but what has happened to Angie and Jude? - no more "doing the books" for all and sundry and nary a look at Jude in action in t'Kabin.

Thesearmsofmine · 21/06/2018 09:04

Yes, where are Jude, Angie and George? We haven’t even seen them in the background having a drink or walking with the pushchair.

HettySunshine · 21/06/2018 10:25

Maybe Jude and Angus have gone to acting school - we can but hope!

ajandjjmum · 21/06/2018 10:44

The Connors are in shock having learned of Aiden's child. I'm sure it won't be long before the issue of the Will is covered - I would have thought Suzie would have a claim on the total estate. Just as well - no way will Alya keep things going. Very true to life - people thinking it's easy to be the boss, whereas it can be jolly difficult. She needs a mentor.

I like Carla and Peter and Johnny and Liz. Have to remember it's only a story! Grin

SuperSuperSuper · 21/06/2018 11:04

I can't bear Fiz. I hope Tyrone doesn't drift back to her. It would be good to see how he works as a couple with Abby, or anyone else really!

Peter and Toyah are great separately (good actors) but never rung true as a couple.

kikashi · 21/06/2018 11:45

I liked the idea of Tyrone and Gemma but I don't think the writers are heading that way. Toyah can get a job as a counsellor at the Health centre she never rang true as a pub landlady or partner to Peter or she could start up a health food shop in the Fred's empty butcher's shop.

Housewife2010 · 21/06/2018 12:00

Peter is hot and an excellent actor. He's been wasted recently. Why does he keep wearing his peacoat with the collar up (even inside!)? It's midsummer!

VanGoghsDog · 21/06/2018 12:23

I would have thought Suzie would have a claim on the total estate. Just as well - no way will Alya keep things going

Well, I'm not sure Suzie will make a great job of it either.... ;)
