Good God... how did they win best soap? The best soap is Molten Brown. Fact. (Lime and Patchouli, specifically!) What with dozy Rosie, booed Jude and airy-fairy Rosemary... think we'll all be reaching for the remote control by the time Jude has emerged from his kennel!

To be fair my son is 12 at Xmas and really tall he has a couple of weeks left at primary school, and he looks odd in his uniform too, 11,12 are funny years some kids look like little kids and some are on the verge of adolescence

yawning801 · 04/07/2018 20:39

Another one bites the dust...

Ryan is probably going to be saved by Ali and then they will be best friends.

Clionba · 04/07/2018 20:49

Yes and Sarah ends up in court. Because there hasn't been a court scene for a few weeks. Why is Ali giving Jack's family the news? What about the doctor in charge?

keepondreaming · 04/07/2018 20:59

"If you've been affected by any of the issues..."

Blimey, it's a tough street to live in at the moment, there's a lot of issues! Is anyone healthy and happy?

cloudyweewee · 04/07/2018 21:09

What number do we have to ring if our dog has eaten a poisoned sausage?

KlutzyDraconequus · 04/07/2018 22:02

I'm just going to assume the lease is running out on wherever the hospital set is so they're trying to make use of it whilst they can. Seems it's been in every episode for months.

Clionba · 04/07/2018 22:11

I'm worried I may get shut in a freezer while having a work place bunk up with my DH. What number should I ring?

eddiemairswife · 04/07/2018 22:24

So many of the characters behave like dogs on heat. Michelle and Robert could have waited until they were home; wouldn't Robert have been prone to 'shrinkage' in the extreme cold?

Wingedharpy · 04/07/2018 22:24

Cloudyweewee: There is a vetinary poisons information service on 02073055055 (Who knew?!) though, presumably, you would need to know what the sausage had been poisoned with for this to be of use.

There is also www.vets-now.com who provide emergency out of hours service for sick animals.

I'm impressed.

I never knew these things existed.

AWomanIsAnAdultHumanFemale · 04/07/2018 22:34

What sort of a dickhead tells a family their child’s antibiotics aren’t working and then refuses to tell them anymore?? Why didn’t he just tell Kevin to speak to the doctor who is treating him.

Wingedharpy · 04/07/2018 22:47

I was more concerned regarding food hygiene than the size of Robert's manhood tbh eddiemair.

That business needs reporting to the Health and Safety executive pronto.

I'm never eating there.

SgtFredColon · 04/07/2018 23:02

eddie they had to do it at work (3 times) as Ryan and Ali are both living at their house. Even though I’m sure they go out sometimes.

SgtFredColon · 04/07/2018 23:03

Yes winged I discovered emergency vets last weekend when two dogs on our road had a massive fight on a Saturday night and we had to transport one to the vet.

AlasEarwax · 04/07/2018 23:40

Urgh, Kate's 'happy' acting is worse than her 'sad' acting! Why is she so intense and manic? She seriously needs to tone it down!

EachandEveryone · 05/07/2018 00:09

Who on earth is Fiona Middleton?

Wingedharpy · 05/07/2018 00:37

And don't get me started on the brown paper bag breathing.....

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 05/07/2018 00:45

I think Corrie has become so hammy it’s ridiculous, the programme is now just one traumatic event after the other, tonight we have Jack possibly dying of sepsis, Eccles poisoned, Ryan attacked by Sarah and now dying of a head injury, Michelle and Robert nearly dying of hypothermia whilst locked in a fridge, Bethany having a panic attack, all in one nights episode! It’s not story led anymore, it’s event led and now nothing has impact or substance because the writers are bombarding the viewer with too many dramatic events, (though the exception to this was Aidens suicide which was briIliantly done) I actually felt embarrassed for the writers tonight, it was cringeworthy, as are the writers attempts at humour, it used to come so naturally, Blanche at the AA meeting anyone?! Corrie gold! Though Craig did make me chuckle with the flakey pastry paper bag comment so maybe all is not lost! And please writers, yes we get Michelle and Robert are insatiable, enough of their sex antics, for the love of god! Enough!

Monty27 · 05/07/2018 02:16

*Betty" I can precis your long and helpful informative post. It's just a load of bollocks these days.
I hardly ever watch it these days. It might even get pulled by ITV hopes if it doesn't improve.
It must be losing viewers in droves.

Clionba · 05/07/2018 04:30

I used to really enjoy Corrie, good character led storylines, enjoyable viewing. Now it's just issues and events. We hardly see Jacky, now he's dying of sepsis related to no storyline at all. I've no idea why Kate's and Daniel decided to get drunk. The freezer story was embarrassing, and I'm fed up with Bethany and her terrible hair with the black roots. Now her mum looks younger than her.

Clionba · 05/07/2018 04:30

Jack, not Jacky.

x2boys · 05/07/2018 07:32

Fiona Middleton, was a hair dresser and worked with Denise Osbourne(I think) she was also Maxines, friend and engaged to Steve at one point, she had a baby, that could have been Jims, i dont think it was Jims child, i cant remember who the father was though Confused

Clawdy · 05/07/2018 07:35

I really wish Mary wasn't back. It's not the actor's fault, she is given the most dreadful lines in a pathetic attempt at humour. The bit where she broke into song in a silly voice during David's improbable proposal was just embarrassing.

Clionba · 05/07/2018 07:41

They seem to have a real problem at the moment with what to do with characters. They only seem to create issues or huge dramas, and shoe horn people in. Mary can be great, and deserves a funny, quirky storyline.

Deadringer · 05/07/2018 09:53

Agree with pp way too much going on at present.
