Leo was not a synth, he was a human with an enhancement, like Will Smith in I, Robot.

How would their baby be in any way a synth human hybrid! there was no synth blood in his sperm! Sorry to be graphic!

Italian V said when Leo was stabbed, the synth blood from his enhanced part mixed with his human blood, which healed him quicker, also I think it's made him slighlty stronger?
The two bloods have evolved together. his sperm has his DNA and the synth code/DNA.

Not mad about where this is going it is getting too complicated too many characters and I'm beginning to not care about any of them. No idea what is going on with nishka and what power she suddenly has and how . Thanks for explaining who odie is i was lost. I wasn't even that bothered with mia dying it was all so contrived. I think it is pretty ambitious to expect the human race to accept and tolerate synths when we can't even t tolerate immigrants

Blimey, I found it hard to follow the V plot line. I'd completely forgotten about the Dr Athena's daughter, but knew I'd seen the wavy grass somewhere before & couldn't quite slot it all together, specially as we had Odi's body as well!!!!

Nouska's endless staring eyes starting to annoy me a bit now - which seems harsh as I'm sure it must be a PITA for the actress to have to do all the time.

Not sure I understand the synth & human blood thing either. Suspect V might be bonkers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@JustLikeBefore I think the synth blood is a tad too convenient! The baby won't have blue blood! I think they must ran out of ideas!

How can V be anything but bonkers, she is a computer programme of a person in a synth body. It's all got too weird.

I liked Joe and Toby. I rarely like the make characters but these are nice. It's just gone a bit silly.

Only just caught up with it this morning. Gutted they killed mia off. @italiangreyhound know what you mean about them introducing characters you don't care about. Wish they had killed niska off instead of Mia. And Sam what have they done to him? He is like a mini anatol in the making. I don't understand how v is alive. I thought Athens shut her down. Where did she come from to inhabit odi"s body. I wish it was the real odi and not some imposter. Feel rather deflated actually. A lot of disappointments in this episode.

Probably will be another series, as the writers seem to be less and less believable, and introducing endless new characters and plots, but I'm not sure I'll be watching it any more. Also not sure I'd be able to follow it without this really useful thread and help from Mnetters.

The first series was incredible - and amazing the way they explored different ethical/philosophical positions each week. I think its lost the plot now though!

I hadn't realised it was the last one either. I've been disappointed overall in the 2nd series. It had the air of a show that had had its budget cut and the writers had got a bit bored.

Yes, it's really lost it's way this series. The family dynamic of the group of Leo, Mia, Max and Niska has broken down. It was easy to empathise with the synths when they were an anomalous group of intelligent, mostly benign beings.

Leo as a character went nowhere all series. The actor seemed almost embarrassed to be there. The Leo/Pinnochio (he's a real boy) thing just made no sense at all. And the baby plot is just daft.

Hope series three gets better writers.
