Italiangreyhound yes I wonder what she did to help the boy in the U.S. I half expected her to reverse the consciousness code. I find the scientist such a creep and not fanciable at all. I felt really sorry for Laura after he went cold on her but think it is out of some sort of guilt rather than him just using her. I think there is definitely something going on with the orange eyes. I can't help but think there is more to Stanley than meets the eye!

I Mattie released data that showed the code was released/originated in London at a certain time so the arrested bloke couldn't have done it as he was in the US.

The risk will be that the search for the Day zero hacker will concentrate on London and bring it closer to Mattie.

I think Katherine Parkinson acted really well in the scene where Silver haired guy brushed her off. Trying not to cry as she walked out the door.

A slightly related aside: when Niska said she got her orange contact lenses from a Halloween outfit; wouldn't there have been a crackdown on commercially available orange contact lenses once the powers-that-be had decided that the new 'safe' synths would have orange eyes? Or am I expecting them to have been too sensible?

Thank God it's finally started to get more interesting. I had a feeling that max's right hand man what ever his name is couldn't be trusted. It seems I was also right about Stanley.

I knew that woman that had befriended Mattie would be up to no good. I agree she must be stupid. If you had all this secret stuff on your laptop you wouldn't leave it unattended. In fact I would have 2 laptops and keep the one with all the important stuff on at home.

Crinkle exactly what I thought. The writers never give Leo enough to do - he seems quite peripheral atm. He is really important as "the bridge" between humans and synths though. I suppose the journo will discover who he is.

I don't really understand how Leo has gone from being half synth/half human to fully human.

Crinkle neither do I. It's a mystery . I think when Niska injected him to save his life his human bits repaired at a supercharged rate. Perhaps it will be very important later on.

Niska is a prize doughnut, but luckily so bloody strong she gets out of the difficult situation, and straight into the boot of someone's car!

As someone formerly pressed into prostitution, and abused as a 'child' I kind of think she would be more wary of random men as well!

Stanley was super scary. But actually very cute!

Was anyone else expecting that crappy green TV screen with the picture of David Elster to start talking when Max said 'Speak to me!'

Was anyone else astounded by Laura’s decision??? I would have thought based on the fact Sam was known to them and Sophie loves him and he’s in their care AND he’s a child she would have chosen for him to live. It was the shock which it was meant to be, but I think Anatole got lucky proving his point like this I don’t think anyone else in the room would have made the same decision as Laura did.

Even when Anatole first told Laura she had to choose I was like “well this is a no brainier” and Mr Magic told me I should at least pretend to think about it!!

I was expecting Laura to say this when Anatole was saying what he wanted from her

I thought Laura was going to be the pregnant one. I was surprised by Laura saving the old guy I don't think even Joe would have made that choice.

Is "the synth who sleeps" David Elster do you think? Did he experiment on himself (as well as Leo?) Niska wouldn't be pleased if it was as he sexually abused her.

Oh I can't remember him sexually abusing her! This is what happens when it was shown so long ago!

@purpleme12 yes, was alluded to when Niska was a prostitute. I think that was why she killed the man who requested she act like a scared girl.

And YES David Elster being the synth who sleeps would make sense especially since it’s Niskas story arc leading up there!!!!

I think it is good to remember that, ironically, it was Joe who waned the Synth and Laura was dead against it! So if she is their greatest advocate then she was quite late to the table. Leo shold be their greatest advocate but he seems fairly (again, ironically given the pregnancy news!) impotent! Now who is getting too into it - me!
