Thought I'd start a new one as we're not far off and there'll be much to talk about this week, I I fear.

I like the way the memorial garden is being incorporated in scenes - a change from the pub, cafe and bistro, where the residents seem to spend their endless pot of money!

I agree about the garden, and it's better than the lone bench outside the hairdressers!

Gary was only in the army for 5 minutes; I doubt he would have learned much there.

True, and we are talking about Gary here.
So many ways for this to go badly wrong.

Arghh - the Gary storyline with Phelan is beyond ridiculous. How is kidnapping Phelan going to help Anna get released? It would have made more sense for Phelan to have come looking for revenge on Eileen just as everyone had relaxed because Faye was the "stalker".

I see young Jakey has been forgotten about. Sarah said You'd think that Gary would come back/let us know where he is if not for me then for his newborn son - what's more important than that? Izzy did not even demur.

I've come to the conclusion that the scriptwriters (and I use that term lightly) spend a huge amount to time on working out the what needs to happen in the week that the final of bgt is on, so they write random nonsense to fill the gaps.

Where are Eva and the new baby, where is Simon, how come Ryan hasn't grown up yet, he's bloody awful.

The previous Ryan was quite a hunk so why has hwe been replaced with a git?

I forgot about the Harris's, so we can add Number 6 to the list again.

And Daniel did hit Ken over the head with a book in Number 1, I can't remember why now. Lots of blood and police involvement.

Where did Tony and Carla live when Tony killed Liam? Was that Victoria Court or was it that other appartment building that nobody ever mentions now?

And why would that husband come back, see three men in the house with his almost ex-wife, and have to ask which one she'd had sex with when two were fully dressed and one was in his pants looking shifty?

Indeed, Hygge - obviously Robert looked like the most likely candidate to be the owner of that ridiculous t-shirt

I didn't realise it was Jack at first.

I really want to staple a note with "Call the Police" written on it onto Gary's forehead.

Even Gary isn't stupid enough to come up with this plan and think it will work though, I can't believe this got approved as a plausible storyline.

David is showing some fab acting lately.

David is doing brilliantly. This whole storyline has been done brilliantly TBF. I’m so glad they aren’t going to drag it out like the phelan bollocks.

I’m really loving all the new scenery. It’s working very well. Apart from surprise torture room in the builders yard!

David's scene was difficult to watch. He played it beautifully. That Phelan storyline should have ended months ago.

Jack P Shepherd is soooo good, isn't he.

The Phelan nonsense is just boring.

I love David. I’m so glad he is back with Shona. They’re brilliant together.

David and Shona are a good couple, really believable. Side eye to Toyah and Peter

Peter is just a non character these days isn’t he? He just stands around with a tea towel on his shoulder being very nice and invisible. What is the point of him? All the previous landlords of the rovers have had bags of personality and peter is just so very nothing.

Who is Jack? (Very questionable security on the building site!)

What do we think about Steve and Michelle?

Jack is Kevin’s son.

Michelle needs to have some sort of wedding jitters that see her jump on a plane to Australia. For good.

Why has swapped at birth Ryan been given a complete personality transplant from when he was last in the street?, he is now a complete buffoon, totally unrecognisable from Ryan of old.

Did anyone see how Toyah held out her arm to take the baby from (urgh, Aiden's dad - name?), it was unnatural it's untrue!
