I don't want Brenda to take Bob back.
I agree that the affair with Laurel was probably about the excitement and the sneaking around, and now they are dealing with consequences and reality rather than fairy tales and fantasy.
But I hated it when Lisa took Zack back and I don't want to see Brenda do the same.
I'm not sure I can see her with Rishi, but it would be interesting to see what might happen if they put her with Eric, who I think is her partner in real life.
I would like Bob and Laurel to split up though. They've never made a believable couple and I don't like them together, it doesn't work, and they should face the consequences about what they've done to everybody else, in particular Brenda and Arthur, but also Gabby, Heath, and Cathy (whose names give me the creeps a bit considering they are blood related twins).
As for Chas and Paddy, from personal experience I found their scenes believable. It can be an incredibly isolating time, even from your partner, because nobody ever reacts the same way as anybody else. You learn a lot about yourself and your partner in times like this, and there are moments where you feel very close together but also moments where you feel so far apart you can't imaging being close ever again. It's just so completely personal a time for both parents. And an isolating one when you know that whatever anybody else thinks or feels, it's just going to be you giving birth in the end. Nobody can do it for you and even when they are with you, you're on your own in that, and it's frightening and isolating.
I can remember having that expression on my face and seeing it on DH's face, even recognising it on another women who had lost her baby. It was like having a very thin film over my face forcing it into the expression for months. Shocked and angry and tight and totally stricken.
So I thought their scenes were quite real, and very sad.
