How long will Joe and Robert play the one upmanship game, its tedious beyond belief.

Has Lisa gone for good and if she has I wouldn't blame her.

Will Chas and Paddy last as long as this thread, I'd be very surprised.

Moses is adorable

I did wonder if Lachlan was on to him bonfireheart. It would be Lachlan's devious mind which would suss him out if anyone.

Have to say I have quite enjoyed the way Brenda is treating Bob and Laurel now, showing a bit of cunning and intelligence too.

ellenanora5 · 29/05/2018 15:35

Me too MurielsBottom, they deserve it, nasty pair couldn't give two hoots about their children and how they feel, you could nearly see Brendas eyes light up when Diane (for some reason) decided to tell her all about Bob and Laurels plans, how bloody tactless is she by the way.

bonfireheart, I agree with you about Aaron, to be honest I'm getting sick of him and his anger, he's an accomplice to murder but conveniently forgets that, and christ on a bike I can't take seeing him cry anymore.

I haven't watched since March, started re-reading this thread, and have just turned it back on. 3 minutes in and I'm yelling at Harriet again for interfering. She really p*es me off! Why the hell is she still in it?!

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 29/05/2018 19:30

I knew the child would be alive!

ellenanora5 · 29/05/2018 20:06

I'm not a fan of Charity but she was great tonight.

But I would bloody brain Harriet and Vanessa for interfering like that, they have no right.

I thought the same Zibbodoo as soon as she ran out of the hospital.

The actress playing young Charity was very like her, and had her facial expressions spot on.

Harriet really is a professional interfererer isn’t she? Grin

HettySunshine · 29/05/2018 21:08

Young Charity really had a look of Belle too. I thought that was a nice touch.

JaneJeffer · 29/05/2018 21:17

I thought so too Hetty

MillieAndObi · 30/05/2018 09:43

That was an excellent episode. Emmerdale really get these flashback episodes spot on.

CaptainHammer · 30/05/2018 19:41

First episode I haven’t fast forwarded any of for ages!

HettySunshine · 30/05/2018 19:50

So did the midwife steal the baby?!

JaneJeffer · 30/05/2018 20:02

Looks like she adopted him from that last shot but maybe he doesn't know he's adopted.

I wish they'd shown more of the darts match. I like it when a random group of villagers get together in the pub.

Baby Dotty is so cute these days babbling away.

ellenanora5 · 30/05/2018 20:31

Ye it had date of adoption on the certificate she was holding.

HettySunshine · 30/05/2018 20:32

I missed what the document was. I saw it said 'Irene whatever her name was - midwife' but by the time I'd read that it had gone and I couldn't find the remote to rewind.

HettySunshine · 30/05/2018 20:33

Ah, cross post Ella. It was an adoption certificate?

fleshmarketclose · 30/05/2018 20:38

Is Emma Atkins pregnant? I thought I glimpsed a bump in the hospital scene when she was confronting Bails' wife.

JaneJeffer · 31/05/2018 18:51

Only one episode tonight cos of BGT Angry

JaneJeffer · 31/05/2018 19:33

God that was so sad Sad

toolazytothinkofausername · 31/05/2018 19:38

Only caught the last 5 minutes... what news did Chas receive please.

redshoeblueshoe · 31/05/2018 19:46

toolazy she was told the baby has severe kidney problems, which will lead to lack of amniotic fluid, which means her lungs can't function. She was told the baby could not survive. But earlier she had been talking to a mum who had been told her baby was going to be seriously ill and her baby was fine.

When Chas went in the backroom it was heartbreaking
Flesh I thought EA had a bump

bonfireheart · 31/05/2018 19:57

Home alone, time for an Emmerdale marathon me thinks - sounds like it's been a good week.

ellenanora5 · 01/06/2018 20:35

I hope Chas tells paddy soon, its s good storyline but its going to be hard to watch.

The minute Amelia left the room I knew the conversation would be recorded, too predictable.

JaneJeffer · 01/06/2018 21:02

I hope so too ellen. It's heartbreaking.

bonfireheart · 01/06/2018 23:00

Although Chas is proving that she is a great actress given the right material. It reminds me of the episode when Aaron told her about Graham.
I didn't like the idea of her and Paddy together but now I would have love for it to work out for them and the writers aren't going to use this as an excuse for him to start an affair with Rhona.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 01/06/2018 23:09

I need some sense checks here...

So all the hoo ha around Chs’ “milestone birthday” falling at the same time she got pregnant means she must be meant to be fifty

Reasons are-

  1. In the hospital she said to the other woman Aaron was 26
  2. She was married to Gordon when she had Aaron making her 24 (14 is below marriage age)

Am I right?

Ps: had a big fat cry at charity’s flashback episodes. Emma Atkins and Young Charity really are v good actresses.
