Poor karen and she has grown on us. Just like carol branning did. Anyone who comes in with lots of kids and shouting etc - seems to warm the cockles of our hearts

Yeah I think it's a ploy because Max said something about being serious that they have to convince everyone they've changed.

They said baby Abi (Babi?) was with Cora that day. So I assume she's in care and being taken by family some days?

Rainie is such a liar and very convincing, Max hasn't ' found Jesus' at all as if!!
She was good with the young mum though and this will endear her to certain people i suppose, but others might see through her. she always was a con artist and good at blackmail and all sorts.
Would the SS really give over a baby to those two? Max hasnt got a stable home and you cant bring a baby up in a car lot office! where are they going to live? how come he already had the insurance and things for the cars he was going to sell on? he sorted that out very quickly. its all very odd.

I suppose you buy cars on credit then pay back the supplier plus interest. Where are they getting money for things like insurance though? Though most ‘businesses’ on the square treat insurance as an optional extra I suppose.

Yeah all a scam. Somebody who has ‘found Jesus’ doesn’t steal from clothing shops. Once they beg/borrow or steal a house, they will be ready to take the baby. Mas’s uncle might help too by wmeither vouching for them or taking the baby temporarily as he feels indebted to them. SS always try to place babies with family if possible and Max was wrongly convicted after all so maybe that means his record was wiped clean?

I’m amazed he would want to bring up a baby to be honest! Rainie hasn’t got any childcare experience and is flaky. He was a complete nut case a while back - and killed people too. All forgotten? Nah it seems very far fetched even by EE standards!

Rainie always hated Cora ( her mum) and her sister, was jealous of Tanya and her perfect life with Max and her girls and Oscar ( when it was good for a few months before he started shagging stacey and having secret wifes and trying to kill people and so on and so forth)
I can see why she;s doing it - to get back at them who saw her as ' no good' just a druggie etc. She probably thinks he will make loads of money and be successful again as well i suppose. She is a schemer.

Max wants the baby out of guilt, he said after the baby was born he wanted to do right by this baby as he hadn’t been a good father to his other children.

Raine - who knows. Maybe just to p*iss off Cora and Tanya? Max needs her to get the baby and she knows that. I’m trying to figure it out. If Max succeeds then she will have a free meal ticket? Tanya and Max never seemed to have financial problems when they were together?

My neighbour is still having work done, her blue van is here again and was here Tuesday and Wednesday too. She has stopped waving at me. Maybe she reads this thread?

anyway, blue van man is back eh? there is defo something big going on there - shes stopped waving as she senses you know her big secret maybe? not hard if the van is hard to hide away , he should have parked it up round the corner. clearly not too bothered about who sees it around. i wonder if her dh will come home and find them together as they do in the soaps?

Why I'm confused about Rainie's motives is that she was being nice and empathic to Harley's mum last night talking about her 'perfect life' so it made me wonder if she really HAS turned over a new leaf? maybe Max has done a number on her? There wouldn't be any point in her being the old horrible Rainey when it was just her and this random woman as the mum wouldn't be worth impressing, iyswim?

Whatever the truth of it I'm really intrigued in EE for a change and I really like Tanya Franks and Jake Wood as actors.

Isn’t there a saying about things being harder to see if right under your nose? Or along those lines anyway? He makes no attempt to hide his van but there is no need. The neighbours all generally keep themselves to themselves, it’s not very neighbourly around here! The only thing is she has teens but I am not judging, I have no idea what her relationship with her husband is like.

I'm sure the fostering auntie and uncle will have to come into the baby Abbie story somewhere along the line otherwise what is the point of them?

yep, my' Uncle radar' was going off at the way he was praising up Rainie for saving the situation with the baby. they are bound to be involved with baby Abi at some stage i bet, esp if Max cant find anywhere decent to live.
i hope Tiffany stays on, i like her. Her and Keegan would be a good match!
