After teasing someone coming back it really was the dullest storyline.

Clawdy · 02/05/2018 22:18

At least we don't have to look at that terrible long-necked picture of Mrs Mangel any more!

SleepingStandingUp · 02/05/2018 22:58

Yeah it was slightly odd... She needed to have a dalliance with Paul, or at least fall asleep on his couch and Teresse see it.

She sold those stamps quick and cleared the cash. How much did they sell for? Garden damage couldn't be that much surely and even though Toadie is skint, would you really accept that kind of money off a virtual stranger?

@Cric that's what I said a few posts back! Might have to dig out the dvd - keep thinking of the film!

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 03/05/2018 10:16

I am Angry at Chloe for evicting Toadie - he's my favourite character, and has been for some time.

SleepingStandingUp · 03/05/2018 12:52

There's no way they can evict like that. He's a crap lawyer but even he knows that right? He'd have to go to court to get it enacted and he'd stand there with the cheque and the judge would laugh at their case

Cric · 03/05/2018 13:53

Ah Seahawk.... I missed that!! It has been bugging me for weeks and then dawned on me and this was the only place that I could think of to share my genius thinking with! It is exactly the same 😂

TheWashingFairyatemyhamster · 03/05/2018 15:05

Jane and Paul had whatever the opposite of ‘sexual tension’ is. Sexual slackness doesn’t quite describe it accurately....

Luckingfovely · 03/05/2018 15:09

A sexual abyss?

prettybird · 03/05/2018 18:48

Both dh and I are ShockHmmGrin at the ability of Lassiters not just to issue an eviction notice on the same day that they'd agreed to accept rental payment (albeit late) but also to have issued a new contract to a new client, for that client to have returned the signed contract and for Toadie to have to have moved out by the end of that same day! Confused

Amazingly fast legal system in Oz! Shock

....we have a lawyer friend who works on evictions for a council here in Scotland. Even commercial evictions take months and months and months Hmm

SleepingStandingUp · 03/05/2018 19:13

We just tell residents not to go and wait for them to take them to Court. Toadie should have called me for advive

@mushforbrain I've noticed she calls her ally. I think she is from New Zealand in real life

SleepingStandingUp · 03/05/2018 22:15

And theres no way Paul would evict them tbf

TheWashingFairyatemyhamster · 03/05/2018 22:45

Sleeping Toadie should indeed have called you, or me, or Nell, or even Gary Canning. The one person he shouldn’t have taken advice from was Jarrod Rebecchi of Rebecchi Law who knows everything about everything legal except, you know, really basic rental agreement shizzle.

AGnu · 04/05/2018 01:44

Sleeping, Toadie did try to call you for advice but you were "up the coast" from Summer Bay being comforted by Ash after your inoperable brain tumour diagnosis. The signal isn't great in that cabin. Once you're back from mat leave you can point out his errors. Or are you going to be like Paige & take the triplets with you? They'll probably take up the same amount of space as Gabezilla did!

I may be getting my Aussie soaps confused... Grin

SleepingStandingUp · 04/05/2018 09:19

I swear they need to do a cross over. Me me, pick me!!!! I might to Uni to study Law whilst I'm pregnant so I'm qualified for when the babies come. Keep them in the cupboard like in Brittas Empire

Leo is really neglecting the backpackers. It must be just a squat by now.

I think losing the office is a good cutback for Toadie. He works from home 90% of the time.

GreenSpaghetti · 05/05/2018 20:25

I had forgotten all about the backpackers. Guess the writers have too

Lovewineandchocs · 05/05/2018 20:35

I hope it’s not a spoiler to say this but the Backpackers will be back Grin

MiddleClassProblem · 05/05/2018 22:05

Yes, love, I heard that too. It must be filthy though. And who the fuck is running it?

Lovewineandchocs · 05/05/2018 23:51

Exactly, Jack just fucked off without any notice and we haven’t heard of it since! Grin

Lovewineandchocs · 05/05/2018 23:54

It’s a bit random too that Liam is staying at the Flametree. I thought people would stay there specifically for a health/pampering break, not just book a room there because they wanted to see their estranged son.

MiddleClassProblem · 06/05/2018 00:43

Especially as he’s there for Lassiters. You’d think they’d book him a room at a discount rate at the very least.

SleepingStandingUp · 06/05/2018 10:51

He would have been a perfect candidate for the back packers lodge
Or the hotel he is doing business with??

OP posts:
Lovewineandchocs · 06/05/2018 20:51

Exactly- the Flametree is rather random, unless he’s going to end up having something to do with Steph-I bet he isn’t though, he hasn’t even had any scenes with her.
