Stupid Jack and his stupid face hanging around trying to get people to act like they give a shit that he’s leaving. Nobody cares. When the Paige and Jack bit of the titles comes on I always think ‘fucks sake are you still here?’ In today’s episode they’d clearly just remembered that he was the school counsellor and made him pretend to do some work.

Unless Susan starts an affair with Clive (or Paul!) I’m going to lose the will to live soon.

I liked Steph so much more for her whole demeanour when Jack was talking to her. Her yeah whatevs face when he was telling her how special their time together was, her reaction when he went to touch her. Anyone else would have forgiven the muppet

I loved Steph in that scene. When he went to hug her and she was like erm...nope.

Jack has never amounted to anything, he said been an incredibly pointless character and has added absolutely nothing to anything. I’ll be glad to see the back of him. I always liked Paige with Mark- disappointed they didn’t keep that going. I’m not the biggest Steph fan but she’s very ‘real’ as a person and isn’t responding to the break up far more realistically than any of the other characters. Obviously some of that is the writing but some of that is the acting performance and directing too.

I think Steph actress can play it understated enough t not feel put on if that makes sense. Mark would have hugged or yelled, he doesn't have the subtlety.
I guess Paige wanted to leave and this was a good easy to get rid of Jack

It’s taking Mark an unusual amount of time to get over Paige. Normally by week 2 he’s all bffs with his exes. Even after he arrested her it didn’t take this long.

Middle by week 2 he’s usually engaged to someone else!

Yeah I love Steph anyway but she’s been extra superb during this whole Jack break-up situation and I love that she hasn’t forgiven him and shoved him away when he went in for one of his gropy hugs. I also loved Ben’s face when Jack gatecrsshed his FaceTime chat with Xanthe! So glad to see the back of Jack and Paige!
