Talking about methadone got me wondering...how does getting a bone fide script for methadone work then? How long do you have to be on heroin to get it? How big a supply would they prescribe at any one time? Was Billy's brother giving it to Billy from his own legal supply?

black it's a few years since I've worked in a pharmacy, but they had to come in every day and take the methadone there and then supervised by the pharmacist. On a Saturday they'd be given Sunday's dose to take away with them though (not sure why, we were open Sundays, but maybe just because a lot of pharmacies aren't).

I had a look you need be referred to drug project and they do medical and blood test to confirm you are on drugs and talk about levels you are on. After that you can get it prescribed. It’s suppsed ease symptoms to get you off drugs. But only 4% of people do that. Rest can’t work or funcion well enough so while it stops them committing crime for drugs they are still very much on drugs and not exactly functional well adults. Go Billy!!

I miss Blanch as well! She was my favourite character, the scene with her, Ken, Deirdre and Peter at the AA meeting was Corrie gold! I am hoping they will take Tracey’s character in the Blanch direction, before Ann Kirkbride died Deirdre was turning into Blanch so fingers crossed.

The writers should try to get Stephanie Cole and Rula Lenska back. Also, virtually anyone else from the 1980s who is still available to act and whose character has a link to someone in Weatherfield.

I don't understand Daniel and Sinead. He's far more likely to be drawn to Carla.

Yeah I think there will be a Gemma/Ty storyline, Fizz has been gone for ages - the character breaks are so unrealistic - who would leave such young children with their husband for that length of time?

My favourite Blanche scene was when she bought Simon a box of hankies with S embroidered on them.

Blanche's dead pan reply..."no, snot".

I miss Blanche too. Where has Mary gone? Not seen her Rita, Norris etc for ages.
