I do like Christopher Timothy as an actor, but I think this Ted character is odd. One minute he is suffering with PTSD and shooting Johnny and eating spam fritters, next thing he is teaching Bernie chess and growing sprouts. I like his friendship with Patrick but it all seems a bit of ' have a new character not sure what to do with him' even if he has been in it a while. Maybe Bernie will become the school's chess champion.

Whenever you see Mick’s keep parked outside, it’s a guarantee something is going to happen outside! Cars only appear in the square if they are part of a scene. There must be off street parking and surely parking is prohibited around there, narrow roads, pedestrian market yet WB’ was able to park across the entrance to the tune station for pretty much all day when he was lurking around.

What was Mel’s ultimatum to Phil? Set Mick up or else Ben gets it? Is Phil trying to set Mick up? I thought he was trying to set Vincent up? Vincent is the only person who thinks beyond the next step ie if he pays Aidan, Aidan will come back again and again. Phil always seems to think a line will be drawn under something once someone has paid up. He has been around long enough surely to know that doesn’t happen.

I didn’t find Ted and Bernie creepy at all. He will take her under his wing hopefully and help her flourish. I hope they don’t turn it into something sinister or she makes allegations etc

theshipsong, i lost the thread a bit last night when Mel was speaking to Phil so i cant help with who is setting up who really- Vincent is trying to sell the Albert , I thought that Aidan wanted the bar for himself?

I am at a loss with all this. soaps should not be this hard to follow ( but its probably me being thick to be fair and i should actually watch it an not go on the ipad or start yakking to son at crucial times) I am still puzzled that Phil isnt questioning Mel on how she knows all these people and has decided to turn up after nearly 16 years!

Every time I see Mick’s jeep I wonder what happened to the storyline of Janet being knocked over and the police investigating to try and find the driver...... was that just another storyline that got brushed under the carpet because the writers couldn’t be bothered with it anymore?

I also had no idea what Phil and Mel were talking about last night and nor do I understand why Vincent is selling the The Albert. Is it because he’s got to give the money to Aidan?

And did anyone else notice last night that when when Vincent and that police officer were in the bar the camera focused on the bar and showed Vincent looking at it and there seemed to be an object on it? Was it a cigar? As in to give Vincent the clue that Aidan was behind the attempted break in??

Mas will make his millions from selling Auntie's samosa's, but she will then want the money as it was her recipe handed down over generations and he was cashing in. Mas would have spent it all or opened another food place by the time she finds out.

Why were Robbie’s samosas wrapped in chip paper if Mas brought them to work from home?

They were in a paper bag I think so Robbie just picked up the bag as Mas told him to get his own (as you do with customers)

I think Mas had a rush on with the savaloy promotion and put them to one side, then wrapped them up by mistake and gave them to Robbie instead of whatever he ordered.
The missing money will probably show up in chip paper soon.
I would forgo the savaloy's myself - i hate them. love a bit of fish though.

I think Mas was a TA rather than a teacher.

I’ve looked on iPlayer and I don’t recognise either of the thugs. There is a resemblance to Keegan but I’m reasonably certain it’s not him - he looks more like an adult.

Crafty, I haven’t had it for a while, so I can’t remember the flavour, just the horrible texture.

The whole heist and lost money storyline has been a total shambles.

I don't know who Aidan or Ciara are, how they know each other (or Phil or Mel) or why he wanted to nick her money. Are we supposed to give a toss about these people?? Because I don't know who they are!

I have NO idea why ANYone other than Mick wanted to do a heist, what exactly the plan was supposed to be, or how the money got nabbed from under their noses.

And all this crap ever since - Mel "the blonde bulldog" , who's setting up who, Mick being 'kidnapped' in the middle of the day in a street full of witnesses and Vincent selling the Albert for no conceivable reason at all!

Its been the most contrived, nonsensical load of rubbish!!!! Do the writers really think this is what we want to see? Do I want to waste my evenings feeling confused and not knowing what's happening or why? What a waste of bloody time this all is. I'm only watching out of habit these days.

I think the chess thing between Ted and Bernie was comparatively interesting and well acted. I'm more interested in seeing them become friends than watching all this heist bullshit, that's for certain!
