Budduh, I like the idea of a flashback. We are all struggling to make any sense of any of it and losing interest too, it needs wrapping up I think. Whoever has the money is living in fear surely ? Phil and Aidan are not ones to cross. Neither of them have it stashed away.

Why do all these army people have odd names?

It’s a forces thing. My brother’s RAF friends all seemed to have daft names. Even the ones that appeared to be real names weren’t their actual names. Very odd.

Definitely a forces thing. Both my cousin and brother are referred to as the first half of their surname.
Some of my brothers friends have funny names related to things they've done for example. It's occurred to me reading this thread I actually don't know some of their real names 🤦🏼‍♀️😂😂😂

My dad was a desert rat in WW 2 and they all had nicknames based on their surnames mostly. He still mentions them.
It does tend to be a forces thing.

It was about 15 years before I realised that one of my brother’s friends wasn’t really called by the name I knew him by. It never occurred to me that it was a nickname.

Thinking about it, I reckon it’s more of a male thing then just forces. I used to work in a male dominated office based industry and the men acquired daft nicknames based on things they’d done etc. The women did not.

On the old bbc messageboard about EE we used to call them all by nicknames ( people were very witty on there)

Ds close mate is named after a reference to drinking - is figured that one was a NN!
But some others (for example called Bash if surname is Basher - not real example) are hard to know with the names that people call their kids nowadays!

Tanya, Cora or Lauren surely wouldn’t allow Max to take the baby. Plus EE never really want babies. They like pregnancy stories, paternity arguments but as soon as the baby is born they forget about it or get rid of it until they reappear when they are sixteen.

EE will definitely do a ‘whodunnit’ flashback like they did when Phil was shot but I doubt anyone cares enough.

Mick and Linda are positively vile people for not taking what they need and giving the difference back to Halfway. No doubt they will lose it as quickly as they found it through some bad decisions and another crisis.

I thought Stacey was talking to Whit on phone. She was like but your brother is Lilly’s dad and you are Famiiiily or something and I was like who? They were just organising a lock smith so anyone could have rung them up. But only Whit was home to let them in and pay/price they lived there.

Wonder what ploy will be about why Tiff will need to stay there? Can’t see Statcey putting up with all rubbish and drama and if there’s already 4 other kids in the house.

It’s more believable that they aren’t together than being together. She wasn’t interested in him before they got married and she isn’t cut out to be a wifey wifey. I sort of sympathise with her tbh.

I get why she prefers Mad max to boring Martin - but surely she knows he only likes the chase? Max won’t want 3 children and her. He might have to bring up unnamed child too! Max should consider opening a nursery on the square. Could be money in it!
