How any of them can afford to live there is a mystery tho, none of them have jobs . Stacey would be entitled to some benefits? Ok, maybe not mat pay but something ? Maintenance from 3 men as well? I don’t know how it works but I would imagine she could claim. Yep. Martin will end up on a bench with the cabbages - someone will ‘have a chat ‘ and sort it out for him. I can see it happening!

STacey could be a realistic benefit story line, unlike Karen who gets loads and never had electric.

Stacey dosnt have any Disabled children so would be under the benefit cap. For family London that’s £443 TOTAL a week of all benefits. Sounds great BUT given whit and Leek tiny bedsit was about 900 month. Then huge house let’s say would be £1600 month or £400 a week.

Total max income £443 minus rent =£43 a week to live on! Now that is real life.

Even if Jeanne rent is much cheaper and it’s only £300 a week still only give her max of £143 for 4 people.

The only way she could improve is move to much cheaper rent like Council which be lot less or get a job then she not under the cap. But given childcare costs unlikely.

But they wouldn’t do that Because it takes research and effort.

I did think maybe but she’d have to get a qualifying benefit like DLA to get around cap. Unlikely as they don’t know if he has it yet. Would argue at his age (less than 2?) he needs constant supervision anyway.

Just read through Janines story on wiki - blimey them were't days! Michael and Alice and Danny - really puts the storylines now to shame!

Alice. Didn’t she get caught up with Michael moon? Janine murdered Barry. I liked Barry.
She was an evil cah. She nearly sold the Vic for flats too and was involved with Archie Mitchell. She was great.

Janine & Michael moon were 2 of the best characters they ever had, Michael was brilliant & it was a shame they killed him off, he had the best comedy/nasty lines and the actor played it perfectly

That’s what benefit on is like even if rent was council and say £200 she wouldn’t get any more money for hope because only for first two children.

In real life a single mum would end up homeless in BnB and wait for social housing or cram into crappy 1-2bed that wouldn’t take all of her money.

Though Martin can at least keep them all in fruit n veg so hope unlikely to get scurvy and need food bank. Plus he would give maintence plus Kush is probable cope.

If she got maintenance from the kids dads she would probably be ok, from the limited amount I know about it I think you would get more from 3 different dads than if the kids all had the same Dad.

Nancy, ha ha! yep - not sure what Ryan does, but i think he might work in yorkshire, so some dosh there for Lil. Kush seems to always have money - Arthur wont go without and Martin will have little Hope to buy or give the veggies to as she grows up and he can leave her the stall as well when he dies. sorted. yes as her kids have 3 diff dads,she would get a huge chunk of cm from all 3,compared to one paying for 3 kids

guess she would get ma instead of smp,as she is self employed,its the same amount weekly as smp but just doesnt get the 90% of pay for 6 w,so 9mths of £138 ish a week
