I want to know who Ben was hanging out with and then tagged on FB? if you were on the run you would be a bit more careful about this - even if your phone is in the channel! Your profile is still up there forever more - he has deleted now, phil said, but i bet someone could retrieve it if they really wanted to, or knew somebody who could.
anyway, Paris is a big place, Phil going over there is stupid, but at least we didnt have to endure an episode of him running around trying to trace him. they dont normally say facebook do they? maybe that was an error.

From what I can gather, the money and the jewellery all belonged to a lady called Ciara Maguire who is Aidan's ex. . Ciara appeared and told the police that it was a ' misunderstanding' for some reason we dont really know and they let it go. Aidan did have the loot, but its gone missing since and him and Ciara want it back. They both know Melanie owen and Ciara has hired her to find the money, hence her trailing Ben to Calais. She knows that Ben doesnt have the money now.
ciara knew the people in the van though, including Halfway who , by accident. shot Mick ( Auntie is an ex nurse or doctor and helped him out so he didnt have to go to hospital) Halfway has managed to get himself a job in the Vic following on from all this - why is also a mystery, but he is an old army mate of Lee Carter, so that makes it all okay ( despite shooting someone)
its all a bit complicated really , auntie and uncle did appear at the same time as the heist with Masood - but the jewellery etc isn't anything to do with them. Who has the money is a big mystery - must be someone on the square and its not Vincent Mick, phil Aidan or Ben. ( Ben did sell the jewellery for 10k before he left, but Halfway must have nicked one of the rings and ben gave Kaff a necklace from his hoard)

I wonder if Ciara and Aidan stole the money from someone initially and then Ciara tried to keep Aidan’s half? Maybe that is why she didn’t involve the police?

theship, i have a hunch that your right - is was never Ciara's money and jewellery to start with - he was trying to double cross his ex, knew she was transporting it to somewhere else and then got Phil and co involved in the heist.
where did she steal it from though?

The police were quite lacklusture about the whole thing at the time - there was a van and blood outside the vic and Ciara being shifty, but they let it all go. handy that. considering someone might be missing millions here ( if one piece sold for 210k, then the other stuff must be worth the same value, plus however much the money was etc)
Ben was shafted on the price of his hoard, 10k was nothing. That bloke he sold it to is laughing.

Im Guessing Ben dosnt know that many jewellery dealers at short notice who will ask no questions and have thousand in cash. Plus anynothet pawn shop and you have to show ID

Quite like how Bernie and Mr Spam are getting on they could be their replacement Grand children.
