Kira-Ora 😁

Today's Mas spotting was on new tricks

nancy75 · 06/02/2018 13:06

I'm slightly shocked that you don't all keep your gun in the Gin cupboard, I certainly do & my rocket launcher in the cupboard next to the washing machine, obvs

glamorousgrandmother · 06/02/2018 14:51

No one ever just walks into a funeral parlour. Front door is always locked Just saying... you could walk in straight off the street at the funeral director that dealt with my Dad's funeral.

dogsdinnerlady · 06/02/2018 15:27

Those Kia-Ora ads featured crows dressed as gangsters if I remember.

The80sweregreat · 06/02/2018 15:52

I suppose we had to assume invisible Ollie was ill too as well as Linda. Hence all that laundry. They let him out the cupboard.
Mick’s arm seems better now.
You can walk into the front of a funeral parlour - usually the bit out the back isn’t open to the public. They normally have little rooms they take you in to discuss it all and try and sell a few ‘extras ‘ / even funeral parlours are not exempt sadly from this practice! I hope Bill finds another job.

Akire · 06/02/2018 16:52

Most funeral parles wouldn’t have front door and free access to chapel
Of rest. Billy’s seem to be door on left. Easily walk in on body or grieving family just trying to find office.

OhTinky · 06/02/2018 18:08

So is Abi at the funeral parlour (god forbid in the malfunctioning fridge?!) I do not entirely understand why they haven’t given her a proper send off yet, assume it’s down to Jo Joyner’s availability for a funeral scene? Still a damn odd conclusion though. Also where is her nameless baby? Will baby be fostered by the Ahmeds?

youarenotkiddingme · 06/02/2018 18:36

No Abu not bad funeral yet.

I'm assuming Now Jay in charge there'll be emotional scenes where he has to organise it. Although she wasn't mentioned as one of the bodies getting warm.

The80sweregreat · 06/02/2018 18:43

Maybe there was an inquest for Abi? Holds things up. ( sadly know a bit about it)
Anyway, must be a funeral soon. Poor jay if he has to deal with it.
Hope baby has a name soon. Poor thing.

buddhasbelly · 06/02/2018 19:03

On the subject of washing machines....when the laundrette closed for a while, what did the EE residents do? Now they all suddenly need it again? I don't understand!!!

buddhasbelly · 06/02/2018 19:04

Im supposed to be prepping for a job interview and instead I'm pondering fictional washing machines.

That sentence right there sums up what's wrong in my life priorities.

youarenotkiddingme · 06/02/2018 19:14

Must admit the washing machine conundrum had crossed my mind too!

arriettyspiders · 06/02/2018 19:18

I've just found you all again, I fell off the last thread!

Is it wrong to have laughed when Sharon said "You bitch!" to Mel. I think it was the way she said it. I quite enjoyed that episode, some of it anyway.

buddhasbelly · 06/02/2018 19:35

Billys going to accidently spill about tina isn't he? Sad

buddhasbelly · 06/02/2018 19:37

Thank you youarenotkiddingme! Months without a laundrette, no one mentionshow they'll get their clothes cleaned but now it's back they're all using it! No sense!!

SergeantFredColon · 06/02/2018 19:42

They went to the laundrette on the ‘Igh Street.

buddhasbelly · 06/02/2018 19:44

@SergeantFredColon you have no idea how much this info has calmed my mind thank you! Yes I'm too involved.

The80sweregreat · 06/02/2018 20:01

Buddha😀
Gosh. Kia-Ora is annoying isn’t she? She has her heavies available on speed dial.
Aidan will not be happy that the money is back with her.

Optimist1 · 06/02/2018 20:04

A couple of things on my mind given recent developments ...

If the heist involved cash + jewellery (ring worth £200k IIRC + the stuff Ben fenced for £10k + the necklace Ben gave to Kathy), why isn't Ciara demanding to get the jewellery back too?

And stupid Billy doesn't seem to have cottoned on that the flat they live in is connected with his job - they're going to be homeless aren't they?

Akire · 06/02/2018 20:13

Was all waste of time anyway, given Hunter now knows the truth. Defo story flaw in that she’s missing half million in jewels!

Was hoping Mel would clear off, but guess she’s staying. Great. Teenage boy on scene and men falling at mela feet.

Yes yes to flat belonging to business. Though they do pay rent I imagine and they not see kids on street over night. Billy be back in chippy you can just see it.

Maz was on New Tricks on repeat today. There are v few Asian actors around it seems to be same 5 doing everything!

The80sweregreat · 06/02/2018 20:23

Kia-Ora has forgotten about her jewellery. Like you would! One ring was worth 210k. You wouldn’t ‘forget’ that ? Maybe she is so loaded she doesn’t care. Or she didn’t know about the jewels? Doubtful. ‘Unter, another pointless teen. I can see a Louise / hunter mash up. ‘Louter’! Will she be pregnant by Easter? Or s triangle with Bex ( for a change ?)

nancy75 · 06/02/2018 20:28

So it seems the whole robbery bollox was just a clunky plot to get Mel back on the square.
What did Sharon put in the bag when Mel wasn’t looking?
What was the point in bringing back chelle if the best story they can give her is mixed up knickers?
Haha at the washing mixup, so original & well thought out.
If all of the missing money could fit in one small bag why were they using a great big bloody van to transport it? It could have just gone in the boot of a car.
Yawn yawn teenage romance ahead with louise & Hunter, will we then find out that Steve isn’t his real Dad & it’s really Phil ( that storyline AGAIN)
I’m in the edge of done, I thought the new script writers were supposed to make it better, not more stupid

Optimist1 · 06/02/2018 20:36

And why was Mel talking about packing up to leave when she was in Sharon and Phil's house? She's rented that furnished flat from Jack, hasn't she?

The80sweregreat · 06/02/2018 20:40

I didn’t see Sharon put anything in the bag ? What do you think it was? Did Mel sleep with Phil before she took off? Was a long time ago. He is blond like Lou so could be ? Sharon will not be happy! Yeah, no need for a van. Just a mini would have done for a bag and a few jewels!

nancy75 · 06/02/2018 20:44

I thought Sharon put some sort of envelope in the bag but I might have imagined in.
Other than her stupid spy hat what did Mel have to pack?
