I certainly am

I don't think it's a good as it was when it first started, and it can be a tad predictable at times but I still love this show

Oh no the young daughter is going to have it too with the falling over and bruises Sad

HelenaDove · 04/02/2018 20:30

Magda is going to end up having a backstreet abortion isnt she? Sad Angry

HelenaDove · 04/02/2018 20:33

shes asked to borrow Shelaghs nursing book Shes going to try and perform the termination on herself.

Thank God the law changed in 1967. #prochoice

Scorbus · 04/02/2018 20:36

I hope she doesn't do a home termination. Remember how it worked out for the teacher in a previous series.

DorynownotFloundering · 04/02/2018 20:50

Poor Sheelagh, no one's fault .

BluePheasant · 04/02/2018 20:58

What is the illness the mother and daughter have? I missed the middle bit putting DD back to bed.

What a sad episode this week!

aurorie11 · 04/02/2018 20:59

They have Huntingdons

Polarbearflavour · 04/02/2018 21:02

Poor old Magda. Why did she have to go to back to Paris though?

Trixie! Noooo. She was very self sacrificing there. Why couldn’t dentist marry her and then they will be their own family?

DMCWelshCakes · 04/02/2018 21:04

Hands up who's crying again?

The little brother crying set me off.

Am I right in thinking that there's still no cure for Huntingdon's?

thecraftyfox · 04/02/2018 21:04

So. Much. Teal! I'm surprised that Trixie didn't drink creme de menthe or blue Curacao to match the clothes.

Poor Magda, despite the many many limitations of Hungary it must have been a big shock to realised women couldn't legally terminate here in the "decadent free West"

Ihatebuildabear · 04/02/2018 21:04

Am I the only one who finds trixie really annoying?

Cherrypie32 · 04/02/2018 21:05

I didn’t think there had been a problem with the dentist daughter previously then suddenly she’s been to see a psychiatrist? How would Trixies actions actually help? Wouldn’t the sisters disapproval of the beauty parade have stretched to her not attending? Could Dr Turner Get any more hammy???

BluePheasant · 04/02/2018 21:05

Ah yes of course. Didn’t know it could start effecting people that young, so horrible Sad

Scorbus · 04/02/2018 21:05

Trixe going to rehab/Mother House yo cover HG pregnancy then.

SimonBridges · 04/02/2018 21:09

Everything is teal and orange.
Even the flat of the woman with Huntingdons was teal and orange in its own way.

Youcanstayundermyumbrella · 04/02/2018 21:09

Am I right in thinking that there's still no cure for Huntingdon's?

Literally in the last few months there's been a genetic breakthrough that looks like it may provide treatment or even a cure.

BluePheasant · 04/02/2018 21:09

No, still no cure afaik. There was something on R4 about it recently. They can do a blood test now so ppl with an affected parent can find out if they have inherited it before any symptoms even start to apear. How on earth would you decide if you really want to know or not? Awful.

MissMary0fSweden · 04/02/2018 21:11

That was a tough watch this week. My friend had Huntingtons. She'd watched her mum deteriorate from the disease, knowing she would likely have the same. When she died she left three daughters of her own.

On a lighter note, the teal thing is ridiculous!

VienneseFingers · 04/02/2018 21:12

This is about the possible treatment breakthrough:

www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-42308341

I also heard the R4 gene test program recently, it was very hard to listen to.

BluePheasant · 04/02/2018 21:17

That must have been very to close to home for you MissMary Flowers

It was so sad wasn’t it Viennesse, such mixed emotions when she got her result.

That’s great about the research, fingers crossed.

DMCWelshCakes · 04/02/2018 21:17

I know it was teal, but I did like Shelagh's outfit at the pageant.

That's good news about Huntingdon's. I remember learning about it at school and being horrified even then as a self centred adolescent.

ciele · 04/02/2018 21:25

Is Timothy the father of Magda’s baby 😂

JustDanceAddict · 04/02/2018 21:25

V sad re Huntington’s :-( its dreadful to think there’s still no cure 50 years on, but good to hear there’s a breakthrough.

WinterHoliday · 04/02/2018 21:39

I hadn't noticed the teal thing until reading comments on this thread but now I'm looking out for it all the time. I noticed in the scene where Shelagh and Valerie find Magda that all three women were wearing the same coloured dresses, which did seem a bit ott!

Dancergirl · 04/02/2018 21:40

moustache I would go for Nurse Crane, she’s so kind and motherly in spite of not having her own chlisten.

Thought the Trixie storyline was a bit ridiculous. They are divorced, the marriage broke down, does she expect to go waltzing back in as if nothing has happened?
