The Katie storyline is a disgrace. As for all the scams, it's just getting ridiculous. I like Maureen lipman but hated her previous character in Corrie, hopefully this will be better. Not looking forward to any of these characters/storylines, I have no idea why I am still watching. Habit I suppose.

Can someone explain how Tys mum isn't his mum. I must of missed how it was explained and it didn't make sense. Did she steal him and why?

The dad (who looked way too young to be Ty's dad, especially given his lifestyle) said that Ty's mum left the boozer all thin with a belly full of ale but had a baby in her arms when he came home. So I suppose she stole Ty from somewhere.

Deadringer* I feel the same. Tracey and Steve scour the web for info on Hannah and Steve takes a DNA test and reveals Hannah isn't who she says she is. I'm thinking it will turn out that the twins aren't Jim's - Liz had an affair at one point with Jim's best pal in the army prior to her arrival on the street IIRC which they could link into the story- if that's the big twist.

Not looking forward to Ty's gran moving in or the Sophie/cougar storyline. I can't stand Sophie - she just can't act and is painful to watch. I've been skipping episodes as it is all quite dull. Toyah and Leanne/Imran triangle - sleazy and boring. Ryan is back (groan) with a
storyline that he has forgotten his Bitcoin password..zzz.. Maria is annoyed that David has been talking behind her back and Josh is upset that Billy isn't going to visit - oh, the excitement!

Come on writers!

Do we know that Liz had an affair with Jim's army mate? I noticed things were awkward between them when he visited (Classic Corrie) and assumed there was 'history'. The scriptwriters are going to have to be careful if they rewrite history as we're watching all the old episodes again.

I might be wrong - I just thought she had but maybe it was only hinted at. in Classic Corrie. Liz was only 16 when she got pregnant IIRC

Maureen Lipman is a bit young to be Tyrone's gran. She is 71, so will have been 33 when he was born. I'm guessing she will be made to look older.

Well Tyrone's fake dad looked way too young to be someone in his fifties. Especially given the life he had led

Karting I think it's a fan theory - not sure Corrie would go that far but who knows these days?

Presumably they couldn't have Cilla as Ty's mum, she's been in the story too much.

Did anyone see Sharon on This Morning talking about Corrie? She was saying have faith in the writers, I thought she seemed to be hinting all wasn’t as it seemed with the Jim and Liz story.

It’s ludicrous either way but I hope she’s right. It is such a hurtful, emotive storyline to say the baby never died after all.

Wherever they go with it, it's a deeply unpleasant story, and I can't think why they are doing it.

Even if Jim did a DNA test, that doesn't prove Liz is her mother.
She still needs to do her own independent DNA test and watch Hannah take the sample in front of her.

I thought the female apprentice at the hairdressers' turned out to be the daughter of Jim and Liz. Born from an affair between Fiona Middleton and Jim McDonald - yes really.

I've been reading that it is a scam, perpetrated on Liz by Jim and Hannah. Which makes it even worse.

I read that it is to get "revenge" on Liz - what for? not coming to see him in prison? It's beyond the pale. Jim is meant to be back this time for a short run and then next year as a regular - how can you come back after pulling such a cruel scam? and I feel it still trashes the good work done in the original Katie story.

I think I read that after both Toyah and Leanne confront Imran that Leanne is briefly sacked and then reinstated and steps aside as she realises that Toyah has "feelings" for Imran. Also read that Adam gets involved in a drugs story again - just no! and that the shambles that is their law practice has loose documents lying around yet again and so Sally gets a copy of Duncan's witnesses and goes to see one of them.
