Come on Corrie writers! Get a grip! This is the thread to moan about the utter tosh that we end up watching, or in some cases to praise the actors because some of them are actually pretty good! Let's discuss!

I actually thought it would have been less realistic for Peter not to be arsed about Carla and Daniel. Carla and Peter had a lot of chemistry and Daniel is his kid brother. Corrie characters are often terrible for their memory loss and lack of continuity so at least this fits.

I just hope it not a foreshadowing for Carla and Peter to start shagging.

I enjoyed tonight's eps. I can understand why Carla slept with Daniel and vice versa, it felt realistic. The Zee actor did a good job. Devious Amy is a chip off the old block, and I thought the teen party was quite authentic. And Ken with his series link!

I thought the dev/imran exchange about the shirt was worthy of Classic Corrie.

I even liked Gina and her MOT nonsense.

ThunderboltsLightning I think it’s the way Corrie does it which makes it seem unrealistic. I’d be pissed if my kid sister started shagging my ex but I wouldn’t call myself out on it in the middle of the pub, I’d quietly seeth and then rant to a friend and tear a strip off my sister when my ex is not there to see. Every emotion on the set is played out over a hot pot in the only pub in the country where everyone in the community goes in to drink something.

I think that Aiden will be a match but that something is medically wrong with him (I'm thinking about the letters and his odd behaviour) which will put him at enhanced risk. Then, Eva will feel guilty about the baby and she'll admit everything to him, leaving Toyah bereft and Peter furious about the lies. He will then turn to Carla.

I thought that about Aiden too. He'll have something that the baby may inherit. But then they've already done that with Steve when Leanne was pregnant. Surely they won't repeat that so soon.

Aiden posted a letter to his dad and then after he found out about Carla he intercepted the letter.

First of all, his dad lives round the corner, why was he posting him anything?

Secondly, why would Carla’s illness change what aiden wanted to tell his dad?

No but he waited outside Johnny’s building last night and asked the postman for Johnny’s post. Kate saw him and asked if he was stealing his dad’s post and he said it was his own credit card bill as he had used Johnny’s address.

Maybe Aidan is using his dad's name and address to borrow money or something, perhaps using his flat as collateral. I hope it's not another illness, there are enough complications in that family already imo. I think corrie has improved the last couple of weeks, I have been enjoying it more anyway.

Cathy moved in with Brian, Aidan did move out but can't remember if he went to his Dad's or sister's place. Seem to remember it was family of some kind.

I think Carla got aiden his old flat back. I think she rented it for him. Although, I can’t remember where’s his old flat is. It can’t be the one he and Eva lived in can it?

I have not watched Corrie for ages, but my daughter likes to see it when she visits. I'd completely forgotten that Peter was Daniel's older brother! Was Denise the hairdresser his mum?
I'm currently watching classic Corrie on ITV 3. I missed the whole of that year (1987) so it's quite fascinating to see the Alan Bradley/Rita storyline developing.

The last time I watched Corrie regularly was when Gary thought he'd killed Phelan (on a building site I think) no idea when that was. Wish he had finished him off. What a nasty character.
