Slightly copying the old thread's title...

Come on Corrie writers! Get a grip! This is the thread to moan about the utter tosh that we end up watching, or in some cases to praise the actors because some of them are actually pretty good! Let's discuss!

OP posts:
Akire · 31/01/2018 22:36

Right we’ll that makes about much sense as usual. Was he expecting sally to leave job and just go?

Shame as Faye is good, least her and Amy get lines. Unlike the twins. Half expecting them to age 4y and have new heads any day.

Akire · 31/01/2018 22:37

THanks I didn’t notice! Forgot about pub job. (Cancels mastermind subject)

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 31/01/2018 22:43

Don't tell me he's going to give Carla a kidney and die!

I hope so, I can’t stand him. And they need a character cull.

Redglitter · 31/01/2018 23:12

Don't tell me he's going to give Carla a kidney and die

I'd hope Corrie wouldn't be so irresponsible. Can you imagine the impact that could have on live kidney donations

scrabbler3 · 31/01/2018 23:13

Perhaps gorgeous Rob will be the donor. I'd like him to return.

EdithWeston · 01/02/2018 07:25

I predict all sorts of angst about who gets tested and who doesn't. Followed by someone who is a good match realising they can't go through with it.

Either that or there is no familial match, and Carla dies on the waiting list.

Not that highlighting a Issue in a sopamactually has any lasting effect - after all, how much is Hayley mentioned these days?

SergeantFredColon · 01/02/2018 09:35

Not watching anymore but this is the 3rd live kidney transplant story they’ve had on Corrie. Can they not think of any other organs or illnesses??!

Housewife2010 · 01/02/2018 10:58

Who else had a transplant apart from Tracy?

SergeantFredColon · 01/02/2018 11:27

One of the duckworth grandchildren. Vera and Jack paid Terry to give his kidney and then he ran away with the cash and Vera had to do it instead.

Kikashi · 01/02/2018 11:47

Liz and Steve live in the flat above the cab office which Steve (or the business?) owns I think.

scrabbler we said that in our house about Rob - I think Corrie really cocked up making him Tina's killer - she should have just fell to her death. We need a bad guy who is nasty but not pyscho like Phelan. He could have come and gone in the soap like Terry Duckworth did if the actor didn't want to commit long term.

Something is up with Aidan - he posted a letter at the start of the show with a big sigh. I really dislike him - such a whinger. It is the perfect scenario for Zeedan he only seems to do grumpy and can just about lift his eyebrows - so repressed anger suits him well.

Clawdy · 01/02/2018 11:52

Yes, then Aidan made one or two cryptic, regretful -sounding comments to Kate. Was the letter telling him about some medical condition?? Not another illness on the Street, surely?

Hillingdon · 01/02/2018 11:55

Eileen is becoming less and less believable. She keeps coming into scenes saying 'what is going on'. Surely someone cannot be that stupid?

cloudyweewee · 01/02/2018 18:11

I don't care if the plot goes to shit as long as Imran gets a few shirtless scenes.

scrabbler3 · 01/02/2018 19:46

Ooooh yes. Imran.

lizzieoak · 01/02/2018 19:50

Really? I think he’s so boring looking, totally interchangeable features w any other matinee idol type. Peter or Rob, now they are interesting.

CoolCarrie · 01/02/2018 20:13

I think Phelan will get gravely injured in an accident, or someone will try to do him in, he will end up in a coma, and the doctors will find out somehow that he is a perfect match for Carla, so after all the terrible stuff comes out, Eileen will decide to let the hospital use his kidney to help Carla, and so redeem herself and Phelan, then she will unplug him!

SheepySheepy · 01/02/2018 21:51

Feel a bit bad about objectifying him but YES IMRAN.

So brooding and beardy and symmetrically faced.

lizzieoak · 01/02/2018 22:54

Glad you’re leaving the path clear for Peter and Rob ;)

EdithWeston · 01/02/2018 23:24

Maybe they're gearing up for Murder on the Orient Express Weatherfield Tram, Phelan will be bumped off and everyone will have done it

CoolCarrie · 01/02/2018 23:40

Good one Edith, and it would probably be a hell of a lot better than the recent version of the Christie one!

scrabbler3 · 01/02/2018 23:47

Lizzieoak - I wouldn't say no to Peter or Rob either, truth be told.

Or Adam, or Daniel, or Tim. Or even newly beardy David.

Can you tell I've been single for a while 😂

ajandjjmum · 02/02/2018 12:19

I would be really pissed off if Phelan got off lightly - ie. run over by a tram. He should be made to suffer.

Comedyusername · 02/02/2018 13:21

I'm glad Steph is back - good to see Phelan squirm a bit. I'm hoping she sees Andy's little house sculptures at the cab office too and puts it all together like Luke almost did.

Plus, I'm over the surrogate/ Eva's baby storyline. I feel anxious watching as that plan is never going to work!

carringtonm · 02/02/2018 13:50

The actor who plays Gary was on This Morning this week (I think Wednesday) and (mistakenly?) alluded to what will happen to Phelan - very vaguely, no specifics, but he seemingly answered the question of whether or not he gets caught/goes to prison/dies. Could have just been a clever bluff but seemed like a slip of the tongue to me.

I won't post any clues on here but you may be able to find a clip online if you're interested.

Housewife2010 · 02/02/2018 19:34

It looks like Carla is reading a fashion magazine called "Slacks"!
