Anyone else excited by the start of the new 2017 series? I am! It's the law in our house to watch all these Christmas programmes - SCD, X Factor and Celeb.

I don't know who half the contestants are but I like Fizz (Corrie). And I can hardly bear to watch the high planks tonight...

the curly hair really suits her, i prefer it to the plaits she usually had

Petalflowers · 04/12/2017 22:24

Did anyone else think they all looked slightly disappointed not to be evicted? Only a couple looked relieved.

poppym12 · 04/12/2017 22:25

When asked if he had an iphone, how come Stanley said 'yes, but we can't use them'. Odd.

CakeNinja · 04/12/2017 22:26

Glad she's gone, another non team player. was quite telling that no one got up immediately afterwards to say goodbye, she wasn't waiting around for it either, she was off!

CakeNinja · 04/12/2017 22:30

I've got no idea what her husband looks like, I'm presuming that wasn't him?!

Petalflowers · 04/12/2017 22:37

I actually don't think I've seen anyone leave so quickly before!

Wasn't Vanessa in the final two yesterday? Is the final two the two lowest votes. If not, it's unfair to select Vanessa twice.

fussychica · 04/12/2017 22:41

Think Beck has been brilliant, really strong and wouldn't give up. Sorry she has gone. Love Toff, she is another one who won't give in.

Can't believe that idiot Amir is still in, well that's the great British public for you. Doesn't even know his DDs birthday - nice. A boxer, who seems scared of his own shadow.
Would be good if Stanley actually did something.

CloudNinetyNine · 04/12/2017 22:44

I thought possums were a protected species in Australia - yet they ate one.

CakeNinja · 04/12/2017 22:46

Yes I think the lowest 2 are the ones read out.

dontcallmelen · 04/12/2017 23:30

@captain crikey that’s an awfully sad reason to have stay in poor man.
Agree pp who the hell is voting to keep Jamie & Amir in couple of prize ejjits.

Acrosstheuniverse123 · 04/12/2017 23:41

Couldn’t stand Botox Becky. Horrible trout lips and frozen face. Loathe Amir. Toff or Iain to win. I feel sorry for Iain. He’s a nice guy and he’s in to pay his mothers care Home fees. Toff is amazing.

crazycatgal · 04/12/2017 23:47

Disgusted that Amir doesn't know his own DD's birthday.

dontcallmelen · 05/12/2017 00:03

Both shappi & Kez both said Iain not game playing, wonder why Becky & Jamie seem to think otherwise, as from the footage shown doesn’t seem to be the case, it’s very odd.

RosyWelshcakes · 05/12/2017 06:55

Disgusted that Amir doesn't know his own DD's birthday

The actress from Corrie said he has trouble with names and dates. Ive suspected for quite few days now he may have something going on cognitively due to being a boxer.

RosyWelshcakes · 05/12/2017 06:57

I thought possums were a protected species in Australia - yet they ate one

they can be controlled (culled) in certain circumstances.

Roussette · 05/12/2017 08:02

Or he could just be a bit of a twat, Welsh.

The only time, to me, Becky showed some warmth was hearing the email from her family. There was a whole different side to her there because up till then she's just come across as a cold fish. On her exit interview she did say she's learnt some empathy... hope so, because you can be tough and driven and have empathy and warmth for your fellow human being.

I can't help but like Ian, yes he's irritating, yes he apologises too much, but in there is a flawed man who wants to be liked, a bit like Martin last year.

Quartz2208 · 05/12/2017 08:03

God watching Iain and Jamie was like watching an abusive relationship with Iain desperate to please, get an apology even though it’s not his fault. Whilst everyone believes Jamie to be nice

Slartybartfast · 05/12/2017 08:04

Is Iain playing a game though?
As Amir and Jamie suspect?

Quartz2208 · 05/12/2017 08:13

I think he is in the sense he clearly has a desperate need to be liked by people so everything he does is driven by that. So strawberry gate was him wanting to please Amir.

I think for Amir and Jamie who are very driven based on their own needs such a people pleaser must seen weird to them (especially as they are all men). So I think they assume it’s just for the votes and the public

CakeNinja · 05/12/2017 08:13

They're all playing a game, it's a gameSHOW with winners and losers.
If he needs the money for whatever, he needs to stay in until voted out and not walk out. So he'll do whatever he can to keep himself in without walking.
I don't see him as having a game plan, mainly because coming across as being a slightly odd person and that wouldn't intentionally be anyone's plan, surely!

RosyWelshcakes · 05/12/2017 08:14

I would like Ian to get to the finals. He seems like a very nice man and its upsetting to see him trying to get approval from 2 people who are downright horrible.

I'd also like to see Stanley in the final.

dontcallmelen · 05/12/2017 08:47

@Rousette, I was thinking the same thing last night, echos of Martin slightly insecure & wanting to be liked, hence the apologies.
Yy @Cakeninja totally agree, I really hope Jamie & Amir go very soon.

User843022 · 05/12/2017 12:39

'I honestly think it's insidious bullying of Ian.'
It is, just typical playground stuff, the ones who believe they are 'alphas' Jamie, Dennis and Becky have subtly excluded Ian, he then goes into needy people pleaser mode to try and and be accepted which makes him look a bit wet.

Can't stand neanderthal Jamie, seems to think the sun shines out of his own arse. I'd like Ian to win. He can be cringey, but he is the Martin of this series as a pp said and I like the underdogs to stay. He has been far more entertaining than the rest of them put together.

crazycatgal · 05/12/2017 13:33

@RosyWelshcakes I didn't think of that possibility, I hope that it is just a case of a bad memory but at the time it made me angry after hearing about all the times he's messed around behind his wife's back as well.

Roussette · 05/12/2017 14:03

I want Ian to be in the final. He can be funny too, I like his humour. And it would just show the likes of Amir and Jamie that being a nice sensitive man is good too
