Just throwing this in here , but maybe Georgie hasn't been kidnapped. Perhaps she's actually trying to negotiate with the rebels - I don't know if anyone has read about the outline plot for the next part so I won't say anymore about why she would be doing that - if she was trying to talk to them it would be very dangerous but she might not necessarily need rescuing - just a thought.

As for the possible romance, it was just a hint of maybe/maybe not in one of the articles about the next part. Not sure if any other articles anywhere have more information. I suppose it definitely could be a rebound situation but it didn't work out for Dr Dull did it?

Yes, to all the comments re Molly. We don't need chapter and verse and great heart to hearts with Kingy or Georgie but I do think for the sake of continuity something needs to be said by CJ or some of the other characters who know her. Georgie was first introduced as at the very least a facebook friend of Molly's. I assume they've worked together at some point although it was a bit of a coincidence that Georgie was marrying CJ's best army friend! I think we needed just a quick reference point unless as we've mentioned before the silence is significant.

As for the Tara/Thara/Farah story, I think it was admirable of TG to touch upon this and try to bring this issue to the attention of viewers. However, it seemed quite a sanitised version of what probably happens. She seemed to find it quite easy to get as far as Turkey. Maybe it is but I didn't think she would have enough money to buy her passage. The happy ending is probably quite unrealistic too. We've all seen the news items and even if they are fortunate enough to reach Greece these poor people often end up in awful camps or worse. Nevertheless, I don't think it was wrong to attempt to address this issue but maybe didn't sit easily in this story with so much focus on the latter episodes in Afghanistan and the Elvis/Georgie scenario.

I am so confused. I thought this series was going to be 8 parts. 4 about the new girl and 4 about Molly. Have I got this wrong?

Ilovelblue · 09/11/2017 21:36

Hi Change - unlikely we'll see Molly again. This series is in three distinct parts with four episodes in each. The next one is supposedly set in Nigeria. Lacey Turner who played Molly Dawes was asked to come back for series 2 but declined as she had a big storyline coming up in East Enders and apparently was very homesick when filming in South Africa.

Thanks. When does the second part of this series start? I thought it would be already on Iplayer but I could not find another episode when I looked earlier today.

lalalalyra · 09/11/2017 21:39

This series is 12 parts. Three 4 parters set in different places.

Don't think molly will feature highly, although they did say she/CJ's home life would be explored more later.

I suppose they could recast the character, but they'd struggle I think. I can't think of anyone off the top of my head who'd be similar to Lacey in size and look etc.

The most we know at the moment is "early in 2018".

Feel free to join in with us and talk about the episodes we've just watched - the more the merrier!

We are all fans of Captain James and are concerned that he may be demonstrating the first signs of PTSD and wonder if it will be explored in the next set of episodes. Some, but not all, of us are also fans of Elvis (or should I say "were fans of Elvis").

Morning. I'm on a rare day off and have decided to brave the shops and attempt Christmas shopping. Mind you with the abundance of stags at this time of year it's more of a pleasure than it might otherwise be. If you see a woman with a cheeky little grin on her face gazing at the shortbread tins in M&S it could be me!

Ilovelblue · 10/11/2017 09:20

Don't forget the stag pants! I am shoppingin Sainsburys today so I will see if they have any in there.

Who has been able to watch (most of) the last episode again as I have a couple of questions when you have.

Elvis would appear to have risen from the dead (the woman is MK's stunt double).

Ben’s birthday tomorrow I surprise myself sometimes what I remember I wonder what he will be doing. He is in a very special place for a celebration in the sun ☀️🍾🤗❤️

Rhubarb01 · 11/11/2017 18:54

Anyone around for SCD? Kevin and Susan are doing a Tango. I actually think it doesn't look too bad. Definitely no rise and fall!

Rhubarb01 · 11/11/2017 19:01

I survived the shopping yesterday and was quite pleased with myself as I got quite a lot. I find it helps to have no present ideas whatsoever and just go on instinct. I'm hoping to get the rest next week and plan to be incredibly organised and wrap it all up in advance not on Christmas Eve as I did last year.

Joe and Katya next - I've heard that second in the running order is the the death spot on this show but I reckon he'll do ok. Good that they are using training footage and no silly VT this week.

Rhubarb01 · 11/11/2017 19:04

Never keen on Rumbas but I thought he did quite well.

Rhubarb01 · 11/11/2017 19:08

Ruth and Anton - oh this could be interesting - well I only said 'could be',

Rhubarb01 · 11/11/2017 19:11

Skippy and bumpy if you know what I mean. Not too good. Bit of a mess up at the end from Ruth. Could be dance off time I reckon.

Rhubarb01 · 11/11/2017 19:20

Forgot to say Anton and Ruth were FOXTROTTING! - literally as it happens!

Davood and Nadia - Charleston - that was really good - great swivelling and no chairs involved Grin

Rhubarb01 · 11/11/2017 19:28

Stupid joke from Claudia - what made me laugh was the impassive face of the elderly lady behind her in the audience.

Gemma and Aliajz - VW. Looks a bit uneven and bumpy/skippy not very flowing in my opinion but what do I know?

Rhubarb01 · 11/11/2017 19:32

Just throwing in here that I still haven't watched episode 4 of OG again. It's been 10 days and I haven't had the courage. I might gonna watch it again after SCD - will probably cry again!

Rhubarb01 · 11/11/2017 19:33

Alexandra and Gorka the Corker! Argentine Tango - I reckon it will be pretty fierce - their favourite word for Alexandra.

Rhubarb01 · 11/11/2017 19:37

Traditional music, lots of faffing at the top of the stairs before they started. She looks amazing but I'm really not sure how good that was -it was good though.

Rhubarb01 · 11/11/2017 19:38

Judges all loved it - they are gearing up for a big score.

Rhubarb01 · 11/11/2017 19:43

Mollie and AJ - paso doble - traditional looking spanish costumes. I thought it was pretty good! Hope they aren't bottom two there are worst dancers.

Rhubarb01 · 11/11/2017 19:47

Feel a bit sorry for her - the judges do seem to lay into her and no way was that worse than Susan's dance. Not fair at all! Interesting to see some of the pro dancer's faces to that score. It's as if they've decided she has to go this week.
