I like the look of it but I'd have thought Sunday night was a more obvious night for it. I suppose they probably don't want to clash with Victoria.

RhiannonOHara · 19/10/2017 17:23

Yes, will give it a go. I like a bit of quasi-historical nonsense.

PantPlot · 19/10/2017 17:26

Jon Snow flouncing about in breeches?

Oh go on then, if there's nowt else on...

NetflixandBill · 19/10/2017 17:27

Really looking forward to it. I read Antonia Fraser's accound of the Gunpowder Plot a few years ago and loved the story

cushioncovers · 19/10/2017 21:12

Yep me, hopefully it will be good

MinesaPinot · 20/10/2017 13:17

Yes I am, love a bit of historical drama

BitOutOfPractice · 20/10/2017 13:19

Apparently it's rather gory

GoldSpot · 20/10/2017 13:24

Too gory for a 12 and 14 year old? DC are keen to watch!

LouiseBrooks · 20/10/2017 13:24

Absolutely - looking forward to this.

BitOutOfPractice · 20/10/2017 13:31

GoldSpot I read this review in the Metro which seemed to suggest it might be

GoldSpot · 20/10/2017 13:39

Thanks BitOutOfPractice - that doesn't look hopeful. I have had my eye out for some good drama for us all to watch together - looks like this isn't it.

MomToWedThorFriday · 20/10/2017 13:40

It’s quite late for me so I’m recording and watching at Victoria time. Really looking forward to it Grin

BitOutOfPractice · 20/10/2017 13:56

No, it doesn't look like a normal BBC Sunday evening drama does it? Might be worth watching the first one yourself and seeing what it's like before traumatising the kids for life! Grin

GoldSpot · 20/10/2017 14:04

Bit I'll be watching it with mil and she has a very low tolerance for violence and 'filth' - I'm not sure if she will last a whole episode - she can be my guinea pig! Grin

WipsGlitter · 20/10/2017 14:17

Agree Saturday night seems an odd slot for this. I’m looking forward to it though.

IhaveChillyToes · 20/10/2017 14:17

Tv review on it this morning said very gory indeed @GoldSpot

IhaveChillyToes · 20/10/2017 14:18

But very good

haveacupoftea · 20/10/2017 14:21

I didn't realise this was on so soon. Really looking forward to it.

LurkingHusband · 20/10/2017 16:53

They were gory times ....

OP posts:
woodhill · 20/10/2017 17:34

No definitely not.

I like historical drama but this does not end well and I don't like watching gruesome things

TheOtherNNB · 20/10/2017 17:36

Oh yes

maddiemookins16mum · 20/10/2017 18:47

There's only one reason I'm watching.....

Montacute · 20/10/2017 18:59

I stopped fancying Kit Harringtom once I found out he was Smurf height.

IhaveChillyToes · 20/10/2017 19:19

He is on ONE SHOW right now

BitOutOfPractice · 20/10/2017 19:52

God the crappy short man comments start... Hmm
