Anyone looking forward ?

OP posts:

Chill out. I'm able to dismiss a celebrity crush for whatever reason I please. And being short is a reason.

I trust KH won't be too heartbroken over this.

Montacute · 20/10/2017 20:17

I also don't fancy them too skinny or too muscular. Oh, or ginger. Feel free to get huffy on behalf of the muscly gingers!

BitOutOfPractice · 20/10/2017 22:40

I’m not huffy. I find all the criticising men for traits over which they have no control rather eye rolly. It wouldn’t be tolerated here to dismiss a woman like that so yeah, I reserve the right to roll my eyes at it.

JonSnowsWhore · 20/10/2017 22:44

I. Can. Not. Wait Grin

albertatrilogy · 20/10/2017 22:47

I suppose that as he's my friend's son I ought to watch....

HolyMerlot · 20/10/2017 22:53

So excited! I’ve been checking the airing date ever since the series was first announced.

I’m a lesbian and even I can’t wait to see Tom Cullen! HaloGrin Although admittedly I started getting into his acting through my massive crush on his girlfriend

Elendon · 21/10/2017 09:15

I'm looking forward to it. It's amazing that Kit Harrington shares a surname with Robert Catesby and also lived in Warwickshire! (Kit has noble ancestry). I think the names Robert Catesby and Guy Fawkes are the sexiest names on the planet.

albertatrilogy · 21/10/2017 09:25

He (Kit) lived in Worcestershire and his mother is a descendant of Robert Catesby. He also spent his early life in a not hugely glamorous/quite ordinary part of West London but the publicity people never give that bit out out

Elendon · 21/10/2017 09:28

Sorry meant Worcestershire. Goodness his mother was a descendant of Catesby, how exciting!

EdgarAllanPO · 21/10/2017 09:30

I forgot about this. My weekend looks set to improve now. I might even get some wine in.

BitOutOfPractice · 21/10/2017 09:46

I’ve just been reading about Kit Harington. He’s also a direct descendant of Charles II.

EdgarAllanPO · 21/10/2017 21:36

Harsh! Watching through my fingers.

Copperkettles · 21/10/2017 21:42

That scene was a bit graphic! Had to turn the sound off. Humans can be horrible to eachother

HolyShmoly · 21/10/2017 21:43

Gagh, that execution method was unexpected.

Armi · 21/10/2017 21:45

I feel sick, now.

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday · 21/10/2017 21:48

I had to turn the sound off too!

EdgarAllanPO · 21/10/2017 21:55

HolyShmoly that was hung drawn and quartered I think. Can't remember the term for the first method.

Nettletheelf · 21/10/2017 22:02

It is very gruesome but Shaun Dooley is a fantastic actor isn’t he?

(Still sniggering at Jon Snow being of smurf height)

HolyShmoly · 21/10/2017 22:03

I thought hung, drawn and quartered was being hung by the neck, then each limb tied to a horse or winch or something until you were pulled apart. Not squishing in some sort of hand-crank iron maiden. And what was the shell in her back? Just added pain?

I'm no torture expert...

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 21/10/2017 22:06

She was pressed. They did it to Margaret Clitheroe in York as well.

It looked like they were hanging, drawing and quartering him but I must have missed the hanging bit.

QuestionforQuentin · 21/10/2017 22:09

I missed how the woman was executed. How did it happen?

EdgarAllanPO · 21/10/2017 22:10

Yeah they hung him first. Then took out his bowels etc and removed him limbs. I think the horse wasn't always necessary. Brutal brutal time to live.
I don't get why they dipped the head in tar.

QuestionforQuentin · 21/10/2017 22:10

What was the object that was put underneath her body?

Nettletheelf · 21/10/2017 22:14

To preserve it for when it was put on a spike?

HolyShmoly · 21/10/2017 22:15

Ah it was the aunt's execution I was thinking of, that's why I didn't think it looked like hung, drawn and quartering.

Did they do that to the priest? I missed part of his death and just saw them dipping his head in tar.
