Chris Rubery (Monkseal) should be a published author. His writing is beyond hilarious ("90 year old buzzard"Grin) and he churns it out in a matter of days (hours when it comes to the immediate post show recap).
If you've only just become aware of him then trawl through his old posts going back years. You will lose days. Hysterical.

It is a source of great sadness to me that he doesn't seem to be blogging the Bake Off this year. Is it in protest at it going to C4? Or is he just busy?

It's coz he says busy . He used to blog the apprentice too and stopped that. But if you follow him on twitter you can read it all in real time.
Did anyone see AJ when he was on britains got talent a few years ago? I think the clip is still on YouTube.

AJ just seems like he's not himself in any way, like the way he'd be with his friends in real life it totally different.
I'm looking forward to Oti and johnnies quickstep. I'll be watching on Saturday with someone who used to work with one of the celebs so that'll be interesting!

I like IT2 a lot. Loved the make up and hair demo on Tuesday. I Noticed that Debbie's been 'freshened up' yesterday. Blimey that Joe Varney is soooooo hot! Lucky Debbie. Grin

Having always seen Joe Varney as the new Vincent (seemingly a little too interested in his partners) I am having to admit that he seems so nice, happy (and maybe also a bit hot) this year. Next I'll be feeling positive about the Cliftons, what's going on?!

Yes the understatement of the year Choccy Grin he's got better , I wasn't so impressed last year!

I have always liked the Cliftons , Joanne's choreography teaching on IT2 is extraordinarily good. Kevin is smashing with Susan!

I never liked Gio but have warmed to him this series.
I didn't see X factor so only know Alex from this and like her a lot.
Susan and Kevin are just joyous and I really enjoyed Gemma's paso last week.
An all girl final would be awesome.

Giovanni and Debbie are a good fit - the same behaviour that might look sleazy towards a young woman comes across as gallant towards an older woman.

I hope that doesn't come across as dismissive of Debbie. I'm madly impressed by her bendiness.

I've always quite liked Giovanni. I think he's sweet.

Aljaz is probably my favourite male pro though, even though he seems to be having too much coffee or something this series – he's so excited about everything, it's exhausting.

Not especially looking forward to any of this week's dances except perhaps Susan's.

I think he's excited about having a contender as a partner. Fair dos. But –dial it down just a tad, Aljaz!

I blame the BBC for making them all whip up the crowd and themselves into a frenzy over everything: lifts and other fancy moves in the dances, the phone lines opening, the scores – how did they get so obsessed about high scores and 10s? I can remember [gimmer] when even 9s didn't really come out until the semi-final and actually meant something and it was all fields round here too
