I would be sorry to see Brendan go, he's in with the bricks of SCD for me.

I know I sound like a Brendan superfan / stalker but he really brought out the best in Kelly Brook, for example. All his slebs generally say he is a very good teacher.

Newmum - they don't. I've stumbled across the result on twitter accidentally a few times.

They take phones off people while they’re actually on site, but they rely on the honour system asking people not to spam it all over Twitter the instant they get out. The betting websites take the eliminated couple down as soon as they know.

I’m sure someone on the thread had been recently - do they make you sign anything, or just pinky swear?

The one that astonishes me is Bake-off where all the friends and family and crew have to keep the results under wraps for weeks. They really do make it harder for themselves by getting all the precious contestants and all the families in for the final reveal.

My friend went . They do take their phones, no photos allowed and she had to sign something . She was with her journalist friend so it may be only them that have to sign.

Apparently Ruth let slip about last night's result. I saw something about her letting the result out earlier on the internet but didn't click on it!

That's a shame they are gone, I have a real soft spot for Brendan since the first series, but it did feel like a goodbye speech, is he the only dancer left from the first show, I definitely remember him having spats with Len over the years.

Oh yes I'd forgotten about bake off! I thought that as well what with the garden party at the end. You just imagine that these days with such easy access to social media that people would take the opportunity to spill the beans - maybe I'm too pessimistic!

Ruth just tweeted “so glad to be through to another week” or similar last night and then very promptly took it down. Not quite as bad as Debbie who actually revealed who’d gone and then frantically tried to back pedal.

Anton has also been there since the first show but, unlike Brendan, has never won.

I hate seeing the spoiler before the show so I try to avoid twitter on Sunday after I accidentally saw the result. It's interesting the way they do it on Digital Spy.

Wasn't surprised to see Charlotte in the DO but assumed she'd be up against Simon or Brian. Joe clearly thought it was going to be him, glad he scraped in and hopefully he can recover from this week. Who's voting for Simon?!

It doesn't bother me if I see a spoiler. I think spreading it over 2 nights artificially is silly and just looks like the BBC don't have any decent Sun eve programmes, all a bit desperate. Really glad Susan was in the first half today. I'll vote for her until she goes, hopefully she'll make Blackpool.
Agree I'd like to see the pros do more proper ballroom dances when it's just them and less modern "Seaside Special" type variety dancers. They're not supposed to be auditioning for Hot Gossip or Pans People.

I'd never heard of any of the blokes before so have no idea who's voting for any of them.

Voting closes at 9.00. They could easily put the results show out at 9.10. It's ridiculous to save it for nearly 24 hours.

Agree that the results should be on a Saturday night, sandwiching Casualty and followed up by Jonathan Ross on the other side (God I'm sad, can you tell my social life is non-existent since baby!)

I guess everyone signs up for Strictly thinking they're going to learn to be a dancer. It must be so disappointing for them when they put in the hours but it just doesn't happen. It never seemed to click for Charlotte. She bowed out very graciously though.

Pretty sure the results DID used to be later on the Saturday night...

I really don't like how Brendan dances. He sticks his bum out and seems to put too much space between him and his partner sometimes.
If Brendan was a woman he'd have been out years ago. That pisses me off.

Just popping on to say: surprised to see Davood in the DO - surely that means a real lack of public support?

And absolutely loved that opening pro routine. Although when Karen was standing over Kevin as he cowered on the floor, I wondered if the routine was just "Another Sunday night chez the Cliftons".

I think that's true cowgirls but that's not Brendan's fault...!
