Fizz first please. And everyone related to her.

Actually he's going to have get Andy to start digging out an extension to fit them all in.

Sinead is so unbelievably gormless even for a soap character. And they've ruined Mary completely with this latest storyline. As they've ruined Eileen. Wonder who will be next. Anyone but Roy or Norris.

zukiecat · 10/11/2017 22:13

IHaveBrilloHair

I love River City!

It’s easily the best of all the soaps

Can’t stand the Murdochs though and the endless gangster rubbish, that does put me off

Molly is the funniest character ever, her and Liz are brilliant together, the way Bob and Angus used to be

eddiemairswife · 10/11/2017 22:14

Gary can always earn a few more thousands bodyguarding in Ukraine.

Has Mary moved back to Dev's? I thought she was living with her husband, or are Jude and Angie there now?

zukiecat · 10/11/2017 22:18

The ITV3 old episodes are great

Gail has just found out she’s pregnant (Sarah) and Audrey has just messed up Hilda’s hair for her posh do

Real, character driven stories of ordinary lives, not the rubbish we get these days

Akire · 10/11/2017 22:38

We do have strange story lines at the moment. Torah and What’s his name are just so smoothly going with baby story. Then what they just bring a baby home one day?

Once Jude’s wife gets PNT sorted then what’s the storyline or interest going to be? That’s if thy stay put.

Third of cast seem to be swaning off to live or travel around s the world. Or go on holiday and not come back

millimat · 11/11/2017 08:08

Was going to catch up from last night but was it not on? Probably more interesting watching a blank screen

LoveMySituation · 11/11/2017 17:05

No millli, it was England v Germany instead. No goals scored. They may have well have kept Corrie on Grin

They should put all sport on Sky.

LoveMySituation · 11/11/2017 18:48

Not all of us have or want Sky Housewife

scrabbler3 · 11/11/2017 19:33

I like sport and was flicking between France V Wales and England V Germany, but would happily have watched the Eng game on ITV3 so that people who dislike football could have watched ITV1 as normal. I'd have recorded CS.

Ah yes - Gail is pregnant with Sarah! And lovely drippy Derek is back to see lovely drippy Mavis. Also, the riddle of where they keep their cars has been solved in those early eps - garages behind t'street.

I can't believe how good the likes of Lynne Perrie, Bryan Mosley, Jean Alexander, Bill Waddington, Mark Eden, Nigel Pivaro, Roy Barraclough, Julie Goodyear were. I didn't appreciate it at the time. Great writing helped, too.

southeastdweller · 11/11/2017 22:31

The footballs not on ITV3 because it would get bugger all viewers, so they have it on the big channel because of the advertising.

Housewife2010 · 11/11/2017 22:36

Lovemysituation Exactly. I don't have Sky - which is why I'd like all sport to be put there.

LoveMySituation · 11/11/2017 22:49

We are all different Housewife

ChevalierTialys · 12/11/2017 12:37

Loving the episodes on ITV3, they're from the year I was born!

ChevalierTialys · 12/11/2017 12:42

Jack and Vera's living room is tiny compared to Tyrone and Fizz's. Did the house expand or something?

Housewife2010 · 12/11/2017 15:36

When was the hall knocked through in Chesney's house? I think all the other houses still have halls.

eddiemairswife · 12/11/2017 16:33

Mike Baldwin bought No. 5 in 1976, and made it open-plan downstairs. (Courtesy of Corriepedia)

AnneEyhtMeyer · 12/11/2017 18:56

Isn't Chesney's house Ivy Tilsley's house? Or am I getting confused?

The current "writers" should be forced to watch the old stuff on ITV3. Not only would they get some tips on how to write plots and dialogue they may also pick up the history of the characters.

It is very odd seeing young Martin Platt working in the cafe, knowing he ends up with Gail.

OP posts:
eddiemairswife · 12/11/2017 19:11

Yes, Ivy Tilsley lived there at one time (Corriepedia again). It also says that Mike Baldwin turned the 3rd bedroom into a bathroom, so where they all sleep is a mystery.

Eastie77 · 12/11/2017 20:41

Just read that the actress (using the term loosely) who plays Fizz opened a cafe in real life that is operating at a loss and she is deep in debt. Talk about life initiating art. The good news is she has been given permission to appear in “I’m a celebrity...” (she’s using the appearance money to pay off her bills) and so they’ll have to write her out for a few weeks. Presumably she’ll have to go and look after Cilla again.

Clawdy · 12/11/2017 20:57

Been in Fizz's restaurant in Manchester several times, and it's lovely.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 12/11/2017 23:03

On principle I couldn't eat at that restaurant because I cannot stand Fizz. Also, I have read on "celebrities who are not very nice in real life" threads that she is horrible in real life.

OP posts:
MyGuideJools · 13/11/2017 08:14

It will be interesting to see what 'fizz' is like in the jungle then eh Anne ?! It always brings out the worst in people Grin

Behindthedoor · 13/11/2017 08:29

Like a PP, I’ve now stopped watching Corrie after 30+ years.
