Just found this thread, as a long term corrie watcher I have to agree the writers seem to have lost it.

Anne I completely agree watching them thriving off the street goss and fighting was amusing.

Beth is irritating me more and more, I'm sure she's getting louder and more brash as a character.

Is long lost Maria’s flatsuddenly grown yet more bedrooms? 5 adults in one house can’t afford rent but 1 single person can in a three bed. Are they going put Craig on the sofa?

All those people moving into Maria's flat is ridiculous. When I went on the Corrie tour the flat above the salon looked tiny. I mean look how small the salon is!

I wish they wouldn't try to make Billy interesting. He isn't.

Billy was apart of a robbery at gunpoint, he thought it was a fake gun but it was real, so they all drove off, The driver was off of his face and caused a serious car crash, he doesn't think the woman and the passenger survived ad has been living with the guilt all these years.

That was a right sob-fest! Tedious and a bit ridiculous. Over the last two weeks, virtually everybody on the Street has been questioned by the police, who are now a permanent presence!

Would the police really intervene is they hadn't been called? That's twice in the last couple of episodes. What were they doing on the street anyway - that phone call to Rosie is just another example of that!
