Maybe I missed something but did phelan say he bought the house to do up? He doesn't have any money just a wage from Jason's business. Wouldn't Eilean suspect that the money must have come from the dodgy calcutta St deal. I would if I was her, it's a big house and looks to be in a leafy area. I am assuming he doesn't own it but it's derelict and abandoned, but in that case how can he plan to keep anyone there long term?

I really wish they would give Bethany a "now I feel I can go to university" storyline. Obviously while the trial was ongoing she had other stuff in her head and couldn't focus on education but now it's over she can. I think it would be a really positive message for other victims of grooming that it doesn't define you and doesn't have to stop you achieving what you want to. Does Bethany have a victim liaison person? They would offer her counselling wouldn't they? And she could realise via that that she could get her life back on track.
