Fizz first please. And everyone related to her.

Actually he's going to have get Andy to start digging out an extension to fit them all in.

I think Faye is staying with Sally as she had fallen out with Anna and phoned the police to accuse Anna.

eddiemairswife · 04/11/2017 13:23

I really find it very difficult to remember who is staying where. In fact there are too many characters who are living in the street for the accommodation available.
Gail suggested a Z-bed for Joseph to stay over, but where do they all sleep now? The object of the garage room was so that Max and Lily could have their own rooms, and that was before Sarah, Bethany, then Harry, and now Gary came on the scene.

SilenceMeansWhatAreTheyUpTo · 04/11/2017 14:43

Further puzzlement to add to the ever-expanding terraced houses, why are there hardly any cars parked on the street? A normal suburban terrace would be choc-a-block these days, what with the residents, Streetcars taxis and bistro customers. The only person who has ever had a problem with parking is Mary with her motorhome. Hard to believe that virtually nobody ever drives, yet the garage still seems to have plenty of business. Confused

eddiemairswife · 04/11/2017 15:39

The thing is lots of them do drive, but only when it suits the script, and then they turn up in a vehicle. Eileen recently won a car and has passed a test. Leanne was clamped in a car park with Peter. Anna drives something when needed to. David drove a car into Anna. Maria had a nifty little number. Perhaps Kevin runs a massive car-hire business on the side.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 04/11/2017 15:40

Sadly you are on a hiding to nothing if you are waiting for Corrie to accurately and sensibly portray a medical condition.

Anna's 3rd degree burns, David's diabetes (was it diabetes?), his step son's ADHD, Steve's depression, Factory Man's MS, Leanne's infertility (now has a baby!), Ken's mystery illness which escapes me, Tracey's single kidney, Fizz's child's cancer, along with no doubt many many more medical stories are 5 minute wonders and then are conveniently forgotten.

Corrie writers even forget that characters have had children die (Kevin).

If anything, I think a medical plot coming up in Corrie is worse news for those with it as it is often portrayed as something easily overcome.

I think David had epilepsy.
Now there is Craig with OCD
Seb with HIV
Johnny with MS
Ken with stroke risk/high BP
Anna with severe leg burns /anger issues
Toyah and Peter with infertility/alcoholic issues
Gary with PTSD
One child with speech problems - can't remember who
Rita with benign brain tumour
Ches with panic attacks
I do not think the writers treatment of any diagnosis is helpful or informative. Hmm
Other things are irritating me to the point I find I stop watching
Why are corrie patients always in private rooms
Why is brain/head injury conducted without any shaving of said head
Why do the police whisk someone off in handcuffs from a hospital bed! or interrogate them in the local cafe
How has PP made sure the bodies of Vinnie and Andy will not resurface - most bodies do at some point
Since seeing the classic Corrie episodes over the week I despair that there aren't more slow-burning plots with realistic outcomes/ resolutions. But I fear it is too late for CS Sad

AnneEyhtMeyer · 04/11/2017 16:12

Oh yes, it was epilepsy. I think that proves they didn't dwell on the topic!

I did think it was funny how the doctor checked Rita's head wound through her wig.

Has Mavis been to visit Rita yet?

eddiemairswife · 06/11/2017 20:41

It's so long ago that I can't remember why Aiden is homeless. I was wondering if Leanne had moved in with Eva.
At least Sally mentioned that Gina was sleeping on the sofa, so she's not moved in with Dev.

Akire · 06/11/2017 21:02

HOW is sinard working all night then looking after Joseph all day? I thought she worked till lunch then stopped over while he worked afn/evening I’m kabbba shop?

Think Aiden was living in Tardis
Of flat with all the young things. He tried kiss one so got his own place. Gues he’s not working so can’t afford it

IHaveBrilloHair · 06/11/2017 21:04

Craig has OCD?
Is that why they keep showing the clock?
I watch and I can't keep up!

thenightsky · 06/11/2017 21:31

Why does Aiden give a shit about Rita's flat?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 06/11/2017 21:33

I think he wants to get revenge on Mike Baldwin's son for destroying the factory.

Why is it I can remember the name of a character that has been dead for years but can't remember a current character's name????

OP posts:
Akire · 06/11/2017 22:25

It all happened so fast. Why does new strange guy want the shop?? What’s Norris going to do?

Rita going to potter off on around world cruise with who?

thenightsky · 06/11/2017 22:53

Notice how all our recent posts involve question marks.

I hope the writers see this thread.

Akire · 07/11/2017 00:24

What happens in crowd funding if you don’t met the target? Does money get refunded?? Why are they all busy working and not sewing and getting orders ready?

Adam is growing on me, far less annoying. What was the paper work found on new guy? Got lost.

lizzieoak · 07/11/2017 00:26

Someone downthread mentioned that Faye and Seb look like siblings and now I can’t unsee it!!

And now Faye’s just brought up her birth mum and I thought “please don’t let the screenwriters make Faye Seb’s long lost sister” because EWW I will absolutely stop watching then.

BabyDreams2018 · 07/11/2017 00:33

I was wondering why a lot of the cast did not wear poppy pens the other night. When is the sentencing for the grooming story? Is Johnny squirrelling away the insurance money for his care when his MS gets bad?

cakietea · 07/11/2017 07:06

Re Faye and Seb siblings - would Tim nice but dim have recognised Seb’s mother at the hospital in that case?

Akire · 07/11/2017 08:51

Seems odd that he wants to use 80k to go live in Spain. How
Is that a retirement plan. Jenny is only I’m late 40s. What she supposed to
Do for income if when Jonny dies? You think Invest some in small business. Do they even own flat or just rent? Seb n Faye never had much chemistry even at start when he seemed to be doing it for a bet. But gues teenage boys are hard to read.

Akire · 07/11/2017 08:52

The way the we’re talking about if Condom split in future. Wouldn’t they be told About drugs you can take After a close call? Is that not a
Thing anymore?

Wormulonian · 07/11/2017 09:21

My teenage twin DD's said £80k is not enough to retire on! and pointed out that some of the workers who own their houses like Sally (and Izzy?) are worth more than Johnnie. He rents Carla's Victoria Court flat and doesn't seem to have any other assets as IIRC he was fleeced by his last girlfriend/wife who he had lived with in Spain.

I blinked and missed Colin's downfall - was he pretending to be several employees? but who for? As for Mary - words fail me.

Such utter dross. Emmerdale has ridiculous storylines too but is much better than Corrie atm.

Wormulonian · 07/11/2017 09:22

I thought at some point Norris has bought the Cabin from Rita but she retained a small share, so how did Norris end up unemployed?

eddiemairswife · 07/11/2017 09:30

I thought Colin owned the Kabin, so why would he have 4 fictitious employees? Or is it a taxdodge?
Does anyone know if Vic Reeves is now a permanent member of the cast?

deadringer · 07/11/2017 09:44

Did anyone see the article about the actress who played erica? She said she left the show because the writing didn't work for her. She imagined there would be lots of cosy sitting gossiping with liz et al but the scripts weren't like that at all, her character was all over the place. I think she is absolutely right.
