How old is Faye supposed to be, and is Seb much older than her.

There are far too many storylines for some of the families, Seb nearly being killed then finding out he maybe HIV positive and might have infected Faye just after his mother nearly dies from an overdose and his sister and brother are put into foster care, I mean its just a bit much isn't it.

Its complete overkill, they should have decreased the episodes not increased them.

I think the current scriptwriters have forgotten that Anna has a young grandson. In spite of his aunt dying in a car crash, and his disabled mother going abroad for the funeral, Anna has been so involved with other people's business she has never shown any concern for him. And his father is still in Milan.

@blackbunny I think eddiemairswife meant that Jake, Gary and Izzy's son, was Anna's grandson. He's so rarely seen/mentioned that it'd be easy to forget his existence though!

Yep. They’re trying to squeeze in sooo much dramas they’re losing track of who is related to who and what is going on that would impact them. Agree that fewer episodes, not more is what was needed.

I also wondered how much older than Faye Seb is supposed to be, isn't Faye still at school yet they're talking about Seb contracting HIV from an ex girlfriend as though he's much older.

Yes, I was thinking of Jake who needs Speech Therapy, and his father was supposed to be doing extra work in Ukraine to pay for it; but instead is spending money on his girl-friend and her children.

Late to this, but I think the only way they can get out of this embarrassing storyline is for it all to be Andy dreaming. He'll wake up in the shower on Monday and Steph will still be there and Les Dennis will still be alive.

Isn’t Steph in Portugal? With Katy? Who’s now dead?

Faye is reminding me more and more of Fizz - same slack-jawed gormless look and no acting talent.

The writers really need a big family tree on the wall to refer to because they honestly seem hopeless at keeping track.

Totally agree that they are giving too many storylines to some families / characters. It is also painful to watch people who cannot act try to use their two-facial-expression repertoire to convey any sort of emotion.

If the writers were any good at remembering plots and familial relationships I would suggest they open up another neighbouring street to increase the number of characters and therefore available plotlines and romantic interest possibilities to fill the extra episodes but I don't think they could cope with the added complexity.

I'm sure they said Seb was a minor himself so couldn't look after the twins when they were being taken into care. I think they said he was only 16 which is still older than Faye but younger than I thought he was.
