Fizz first please. And everyone related to her.

Actually he's going to have get Andy to start digging out an extension to fit them all in.

I thought Shona had moved in with David.

Had the 'holiday' that Phelan and Eileen were drinking to been mentioned before? There seem to be so many storylines that I think I've missed until others say they are baffled as well.

NoCryLilSoftSoft · 28/10/2017 13:23

Last night was the first I heard it mentioned when pat was at the bar ordering drinks and Eva said “to go along with the prosecco?” And he replied “I am on my holidays”. That was first i heard it.

PuppyMonkey · 28/10/2017 13:28

Late to this, but I think the only way they can get out of this embarrassing storyline is for it all to be Andy dreaming. He'll wake up in the shower on Monday and Steph will still be there and Les Dennis will still be alive.

Philan is a great villain but he'd be much better if they'd left him as a bullying, dodgy businessman not a kidnapping murderous lunatic.

SumAndSubstance · 28/10/2017 13:35

Oh, yes to Andy waking up in the shower - that would be grand.
Speaking of missing storylines, what happened after Eva snogged hot Adam?

User843022 · 28/10/2017 13:39

Is Andy even dead. I half watched last night's episode it was so boring. I saw something going into water and Phelan with his pantomime villain face on so presumably he wasn't up to any good. This is one of the most silly and dragged out stories ever on CS.

MyBeloved · 28/10/2017 14:05

I found it hard to watch last night. This isn't the Corrie I know and love. It was horrible!

NoCryLilSoftSoft · 28/10/2017 14:06

Does phelan actually do any paid work? He seems to spend all his time at the derelict house, his building yard or in the pub. But he never seems to have any contracts he is working on.

CakesRUs · 28/10/2017 14:11

I’ve stopped watching it. It’s storylines go on, literally, for years.

CoolCarrie · 28/10/2017 14:51

Eileen has had a conga line of men though her door and she is a nasty piece of work, so serves her right to be stuck with a murderer.

CoolCarrie · 28/10/2017 14:52

Her and Gail are a right pair of bookends with their taste in men.

BreconBeBuggered · 28/10/2017 15:03

I didn't see Phelan turning on the music in the van, but if it's anything like the vehicles I've owned, it would cut out after a while to save the battery. There would have been plenty of time for Andy and Vinnie to yell their lungs out and be heard by passers-by.
Why I am looking for any more holes in such a ridiculous plot is utterly beyond me.

keepondreaming · 28/10/2017 15:07

The holiday was booked a little while ago. I remember Eileen drooling over travel brochures etc

I think Phelan has always been religious, he visited a catholic priest for confession. I expect led him to say “forgive me Father for I have sinned”as he threw Vinnie and Andy into the river!

Is Aiden now kipping down in the derelict factory? Didn’t it lose its roof?

Ooh, yes I like the thought of Dev and Moira as suggested above. Really not sure how he got so quickly into Ginas knickers!

Housewife2010 · 28/10/2017 15:22

Surely leaving the radio on would have drained the battery, but there was no problems with him driving the van.

ContessaBonessa · 28/10/2017 17:22

😂😂

That's the kind of thing my granny would have said. She made Satan seem like a softie

IHaveBrilloHair · 28/10/2017 20:29

Forgetting the ludicrous Phelan stuff for a minute, how obvious was Fizz with the money, and how stupid.
I get the pretending to have a tip and buying a round, but if you were skint would you be buying any hot drink in the caffy, rather than making one in your house a 20 second walk away?
And dear God Sinead stop wearing those horrid jumpers.

theliverpoolone · 28/10/2017 22:08

I see there's a few of us at the point of giving up, after last night's ridiculousness. Take note, writers.

Everything is so hashed together and unbelievable. I know Dev's had a steady stream of women, but really, Gina?!! Acting like an established couple, inviting people for a meal, after literally 5 minutes.

IHaveBrilloHair · 28/10/2017 22:15

Yes, that was ridiculous.
I did laugh at "chargrilled fishwife", in Corrie land of course, never in real life.

lizzieoak · 28/10/2017 22:46

Dev and Gina doesn’t ring true to me either, as Dev generally goes for fairly glam types. And women with a bit of standing, even if it’s only as a barmaid in Spain (or wherever Erica was). Dev and a faded grifter like Gina makes zero sense.

BringMeTea · 28/10/2017 23:12

Yeah well that might be the nail in the coffin. Absolute dross. Totally agree that the juxtaposition of 80s Corrie with torture porn is doing the current writing team no favours. I feel a bit angry which is worrying. Grin Might be time part ways for my own sanity.

SilenceMeansWhatAreTheyUpTo · 28/10/2017 23:27

Well if the writers are lining up Steve and Mooo-ra to become an item, he's going to have to learn to pronounce her name .... Grin

Housewife2010 · 28/10/2017 23:33

The actor who plays Todd has just been sacked.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 28/10/2017 23:46

Just saw that too, Housewife. It is a shame the character has gone, as he was one of the better ones, and the actor could act. Obviously if the actor is guilty then he should go, it is just that Corrie is very short of believable characters and decent actors.

OP posts:
RJnomore1 · 28/10/2017 23:51

Why has he been sacked on an allegation yet "Kevin" and "ken " were only suspended although going to court?

Housewife2010 · 28/10/2017 23:58

RJ I agree. He should not have been sacked until the allegations were proved to be true.
