Fizz first please. And everyone related to her.

Actually he's going to have get Andy to start digging out an extension to fit them all in.

OP posts:

I wouldn't have shot him in the leg, I would have killed the bugger! Maybe Andy was suffering from Stockholm syndrome? !

eddiemairswife · 27/10/2017 22:14

Well, this is too much for me. I know I am old and physically decrepit, but I can still do Guardian cryptic crosswords;but tonight's episodes left me completely in the dark. So are Andy and Vinny dead, and why? Have I entered an alternative universe? Is there any point in watching anymore?

CoolCarrie · 27/10/2017 22:15

i hope they aren't going to drag this out until Christmas.

User843022 · 27/10/2017 22:29

'Maybe Andy was suffering from Stockholm syndrome? !'
Yes think that's what they were getting at but it was just a bit over egged wasn't it, after his many opportunities to escape you'd think his instinct for survival would've kicked in. Still, I know it's only Corrie but the writers just seem to be totally taking the piss with the phelan storyline.

TheJunctionBaby · 27/10/2017 23:00

In a way I'm glad Phelan got rid of Andy. He's always been a bit pathetic and cowardly, and tonight proved that once and for all. Shame it came to that but really, he just got on my nerves never showing any backbone.

Phelan really needs to get caught now, he's been ruining people for too long without any justice

ContessaBonessa · 27/10/2017 23:36

'Why is Eileen such a gormless baffoon?'

In fairness poor Eileen has waited years to get her leg over. It would be silly to let a silly thing like being shacked up with a psycho jeopardise that Grin

Springprim · 28/10/2017 00:07

Awful, absolutely awful. I wish I hadn't watched it just before going to sleep. I like to watch Corrie for light relief- this evenings episodes were ridiculous.

deadringer · 28/10/2017 00:10

Poor gormless Andy.

welsh26 · 28/10/2017 00:16

The part where phelan found god was pretty entertaining 🤔

BreconBeBuggered · 28/10/2017 00:24

Perhaps, some time in the future when all this is over, Eileen and Gail can have a nice cup of tea and a chat about their psychotic serial murderer husbands.

lizzieoak · 28/10/2017 02:04

Oh bloody hell, that’s why Andy’s story ends?!! We’re a bit behind in Canada and I had hoped we were putting up w the mad and boring cellar saga because at least Andy would be liberated. But against all sense they’ve let Phelan win again?! I’ll be skipping that episode.

And as someone says downthread - how can Pat afford this place and why is Eileen wanting to move into it instead of asking how he can afford it and insisting they pay back Jason. Come on Eileeen!

ellenanora5 · 28/10/2017 04:56

I thought Andy killed himself and Pat was holding the gun afterwards, I couldn't figure out what was going on most of the time, it's so inconsistent it's ridiculous.

Pat is a great baddie to be fair, he can switch his character so easily, he's bloody wasted in Corrie, he should ditch it asap

ChevalierTialys · 28/10/2017 08:15

Actually thought Andy might kill Phelan and finally be free. So sick of it now. Just gonna stop watching. So much focus on such an irritating storyline and the show has drifted so far from the Corrie I grew up with. Used to be light hearted and funny. They never used to do this kind of thing, leaving the dark stuff and shouty characters to Eastenders. Now they're basically the same Sad fed up with it.

Perhaps, some time in the future when all this is over, Eileen and Gail can have a nice cup of tea and a chat about their psychotic serial murderer husbands. I truly truly hope this happens! Now THAT would be corrie!

woodhill · 28/10/2017 09:04

Why bother having Andy alive all this time, and Vinnie gave Pat the money. Just too much.

AmIthatbloodycold · 28/10/2017 09:15

I didn't even watch most of the second episode so I didn't see him kill Andy

Last night's episodes were a pile of shite

I think I'm done with it now

Pat was looking at his shaking hands - I think he is going to go all Lady Macbeth now.

I agree with someone upthread - how on earth did Pat get Vinnie and Andy into the van (unless he used the gun) . They are younger and stronger than Pat - surely they could have overpowered him or kicked out the door of the van working in tandem. Also, was the garage somewhere other than the house it didn't look that that double industrial garage was part of a residential garden. He then drove them to an abandoned industrial unit. There is no end to the hidey holes Pat has. Where did the holiday idea come out off - I suppose he is using Vinnies money?? but did we see Eileen and him discussing going away? And again Eileen has sunk so low - not even caring about reimbursing her son as a priority. The editing is off.

Fizz and Ty laughing in the pub squandering 'Ope's money on booze is so so low. Has Fizz forgotten she spent time prison after fraudulently getting money only a few years back. Sleazy Aidan. God, it was so awful.

Sillysausage123 · 28/10/2017 10:38

Yes to the poster who mentioned Shona, Pat and Eileen drinking champagne, that made no sense. What would Shona be celebrating with 'best day ever' line. Nothing happened to Shona that day!

Also it's very weird that Shona doesn't at least feel weird or awkward when Pat and Eileen are slagging off 'Crazy Anna' when Shona works with her!

Housewife2010 · 28/10/2017 10:42

I haven't seen yesterday's episode yet. I do think that Moira is a great new character and a good source of humour in the Coronation Street tradition. I can see her with Dev at some point. They are both very narcissistic and could get carried away with their plans together.

Sillysausage123 · 28/10/2017 10:51

I think they are trying to pair Moira up with Steve

ginghamstarfish · 28/10/2017 11:06

Horrible end for poor Andy - I guess he was really hoping that Pat would go along with his 'plan' and he would be freed. I thought that Vinnie was being set up to be the Andy subsitute, but hard to tell if it was the thing with Nicola that pushed Phelan to just kill them both and have done with it.

User843022 · 28/10/2017 11:14

It just seemed so utterly pointless. Yes we've had Gail's psycho serial killer story and Tina's murder so fine to have a bit of grimness thrown in, but all that cellar malarkey I presumed it was edging towards Andy suddenly getting a grip and getting his revenge. To have both him and Vinnie shot in cold blood was just Confused.

SumAndSubstance · 28/10/2017 12:25

Come on Eileeen!
Grin
Have they really revived Andy - I refuse to believe that they planned all this cellar nonsense when Phelan 'killed' him first time around - just to have him killed off again without anybody in the actual problem - bar dead Harvey/Vinnie - knowing that he was dead then he wasn't now he is?!

User843022 · 28/10/2017 12:41

'I refuse to believe that they planned all this cellar nonsense when Phelan 'killed' him first time around - just to have him killed off again without anybody in the actual problem '
Yes the writers must be all on glue Grin. Maybe they're going to go for them both being miraculously revived, then plotting and kidnapping phelan and putting him (and Eileen lets hope) in the cellar..

NoCryLilSoftSoft · 28/10/2017 13:03

Does Shona even still live with Eileen? I thought she had moved out? Why would she be celebrating with them? What were they celebrating? Just being on holiday? Confused who celebrates going on holiday with champagne before you go on the holiday?
