@runningtogetskinny - exactly, there was no need for writers to have Sally be the one to tell social services (unless there’s a follow up story). The paramedics would have notified SS after attending the drug overdose knowing there were young children in the house.

the ambulance crew who attended to Seb’s Mum would have a duty to call Social Services as there were children present?! Surely someone on the street would know that???

SS were involved before she overdosed though. That was the whole reason why she overdosed. I think Seb and Faye are talking about who had phoned SS in the first place. Sally knew because there was a scene last week or week before where she was ranting at Tim about how it’s not right that Seb’s Mum is drinking and looking after the kids.

Why did Nicola (is she a probation officer or a social worker?) not know that and tell Anna when Anna was telling Nicola that Faye and Seb thought that she (Anna) had called SS ?

How low are Fizz and Ty? How much time has passed since the factory shut? As usual benefits and reassessing tax credits are not addressed.
Nicola told Anna she was having a baby in "a few months" - how pregnant is she? Is time zooming ahead and Robert will be out of prison soon?

Afaik Nicola is a probabtion Officer, not a social worker. I dont know why she would even be involved in Seb being rushed to hospital as that is nothing to do with his Probabtion. TBH I didn’t understand why she didn’t get involved when pat sacked him because she secured his job with pat as part of his probabtion terms. She did checks on Pat etc. I remember there was a point made about seb going back to young offenders if he lost his job. So surely it was up to her to help him secure new work when pat fired him.

Where did Fizz and Ty get the £2000 cheque from that was mentioned last time. I must have yawned and missed it.

I think Anna is losing the plot, she walloped Seb across the face and then tried to kill Phelan with a hammer, if I was Sally I'd be calling social services on her because it will only be a matter of time before she belts Faye or Jack.

If Tracy and Steve get back together I will scream, she was vile to him before how could he forget what she did.

Much as I don't want Steve and Tracy together, they do get on well and it feels natural.

I often feel I have missed vital parts of the plot. My latest concern is Vinnie's mother. If Phelan took her out and failed to return her, surely the care home would have informed the police. Or is it a waste of time to try to fathom out the Phelan story?

Good point eddiemair - the plot lines are so full of holes.

I imagine we'll never find out where Vinnie's mum was - everything will just move on like it never happened

I really don't get why Phelan couldn't take Andy out on Wednesday, rather than leaving him there with Vinnie until 'tomorrow' - unless he's not actually intending to let Andy out at all.....

I think pat took his 'auntie' florence on a nice holiday, she is probably stashed away in a nice hotel or packed off on a mini cruise. Very odd that there is no mention of rita, don't the writers realise how odd it is? I know Gemma and Jenny haven't been in it lately to mention her but norris has been around and even he seems to have forgotten she exists.

The storylines are getting ridiculous. I cannot understand why Izzy has made no effort to go to her sisters funeral - I know money is tight but surely her Mum and Dad would have paid for her ticket so the family could be together - she and Katie were very close .

I suppose one reason that Izzie didn't go to the funeral is Jake. His father is still in Milan and his grandmother, Anna, is too wrapped up in Seb and the twins to even think about him. Does she ever have contact with him?

That cellar is going to get very smelly. Pat will surely build a little en-suite bathroom?!

Also Norris/Emily's house. Presumably she still has all her stuff there. Her kitchen is on the left rather than behind the back room.

Bathroom must be very dated. No one ever seems to modernise the houses apart from Ken's kitchen

Woodhill, Sally’s house has had a few makeovers & when Fizz and Ty inherited Jack’s house they updated it a bit.

And who was it had that lush sofa? Anna? The cut velvet one?

When Phelan attacked Andy with the computer just before the wedding, I wonder how far ahead they had planned the storyline. I know they have to be fairly flexible, because of unexpected events such as cast illnesses, but this story is so far-fetched. Presumably Phelan had already bought the house with a secure cellar and chains fixed to the wall in case he needed to incarcerate someone!
