Oh dear what an user crock of shit corrie us now. I grew up watching it with my parents. I've had many breaks recently and keep watching bits hoping that it will get better. It's dire. They need to get rid of fizz , type, Anna, Kevin, Sophie, Michelle , learned, and please please please part phelan. He's got away with everything and he is loathed. His plots make no sense.

In the last 6 months we have seen David give 20k to anna. Bully give 1k to the Sean etc all (shona said they could keep it), Sarah lose 15k to the flat scam and not be bothered at all, leanne inherit 25k from nick and give it to her sister for ivf. Ffs. And the awful phelan plot. I wish he's kill Eileen and be done with it. She used to be a great character but I hate her and everyone else linked to pat.

Anna thought Kevin had called SS but he says not and it did look genuine. Who else knew about Seb’s family? The twins are too young for school so it can’t have been a teacher.

Pat is getting on my nerves, I hope it is coming to an end now with this very far fetched, stupid storyline.

The Pat thing is absurd. It's a shame because the actor is very good.

I thought that the actors playing Seb and Abbie were really strong last night. I found myself rooting for them.

When Pat told Andy that Vinnie was responsible for Michael's death, I thought he said "George Michael's death". 😂 Still, it wouldn't be that much more far fetched.

Look how Fay turned out - Pregnant at 13 by the jail bird boyfriend who is not much older than her. That child given up for adoption.

Coming home at lunchtime in her school uniform to meet the boyfriend, Seb, for sex. Grim.

IMO Anna is a rubbish parent. Her parenting of Fay was and continues to be shockingly lax. (I don't like Anna anyway. She's cold. She's violent. Though not to Fay.)

Coronation Street is just awful atm. Even eye-candy Adam (Scottish werewolf) was looking shabby last night. Trim your beard man, and get your poise back.

The Phelan storyline is tedious and I resent all the other story lines that are dependent on it. When can Eileen get her personality back ?

Once again I ask: Where is Rita ? Did she have the operation ?

The last we saw of her she was in her hospital bed and the character played by Vic Reeves visited her with the paperwork regarding the sale of the flat over the Kabin.

Also, Simon has become a character in search of a storyline.

Can I butt in and say I called adam Barlow a hottie when he first reappeared and was pooh poohed. He is the only reason I'm still watching.

I'm actually very sad that a lovely soap has become so so so terrible in the last decade or so. The plots are ridiculous and everything happens do fast with characters I mostly despise.

This is going to sound terrible and a bit morbid but do you think the writers have 'back-up' or emergency stories in the event any of the older actors die suddenly in real life? The actor who plays Ken is 80 something? Rita and Emily must be quite close behind.

Obviously a sudden death can occur at any age but (and again this sounds bad) if it happens to a younger character I suppose they could be replaced whereas it would be impossible to bring in a new Rita or Ken after 50 odd years.

I expect they'll send them to Peru!

thank you for the heads up about the ITV3 corrie classics. It is quite an eye-opener how far from its Northern roots and real characters it has strayed. I had a feeling that Gail had an affair with the Aussie (Ian) and there was query over Sara Lou's parentage - sad I can remember trivia like this
I missed last night's (other things to do) but assume Andy is still in the cellar, Toyah is trying hard to be 'a landlady' at the rovers, and Elaine is still unable to see through Phelan - oh and Sinead is fighting off Daniel.

I’m sure one actor who got sacked had to be rid of quickly, they probably have to rewrite some episodes I suppose.,
