Another one of my pet hates is when Anton goes "oh fuck it, it's not like we're gonna make Halloween" and basically throws his partner under the bus.

Meanwhile his partner stands there with a rictus grin as the penny suddenly drops that he actually thinks she's a no hoper.

He does do that Elspeth. When he was with Katie Derham he couldn't believe they got to the final, and said so on several occassions.

That reminds me, Anton is one of my pet hates. Can't stand him talking over people, hogging the spotlight, playing to the crowd.

You didn't get a judging or presenting job, Anton, get over it.

I didn't like Joe's dance either and couldn't understand his high marking 😕But I took against him as I can't stand the false bottom jaw stretch grin he does, or the way he speaks.

Ooh yes, Anton. How is he still on the show? He is really poor at the Rumba. I bet Ruth could have been much better with a different partner.

I am puzzled about the singing, agree with PinkTeddy that Lance really can sing but this season they all sound so strained. Goes back to my point about selecting suitable songs for the dances, not just pop chart hits.

I would change two things.

The scripted, awkward VTs would disappear. I'd rather see more rehearsing/learning/bonding as PPs said. I currently use the VT time to look at this thread or make a cup of tea.

I'd broadcast the results live too, or slightly delayed, on Saturday. However, I appreciate that this could be tricky for parents who watch with very young children and it is supposed to be a family show.

It was all on on a Saturday for a while, wasn't it? I can't remember, but maybe that was when there was no dance-off, so it didn't go on for so long.
