I think Simon told Tom that Gemma was going to end up killing him (Simon) so that if she ever did (even if it was proved to be an accident) she would lose Tom because he would always believe it was intentional

OK, so we know what was in the box Gemma gave to Kate in ep 1, but what on earth was the thing with the hypodermics that she was faffing about with at the time she dissolved her wedding ring in acid?? (I'm hoping desperately that she hasn't left medical supplies within Tom's reach whilst he's in such emotional turmoil )

Oh god I've just finished watching.
Thought this was the best episode so far and wow, the acting was fab.
