What a load of pish, strange man randomly bursts into a classroom and they sit him down in the office and bring the wee girl in... surely they’d call the police?! Load of bullshit!

The book was written before MM went missing, school security was a lot more lax back then. But I agree in modern setting that was very improbable

I'm not watching, but I just switched over briefly. Why can they never get school scenes right? Never in a million years would anyone get into a school,and wander around like that.
I went off Ian McEwan years ago. It was 'Saturday' that was the final straw.

No way could you walk into a school like that! You’d have to Buzz in and get past the receptionists. Even dropping off forgotten lunch boxes I had to leave them at reception. I suppose if he’d walked in at drop off it would’ve made more sense as gates are open. Maybe it was like that originally.
