On on Sunday night. Anyone interested?

I haven't read the book but I do like a bit of Cumberbatch.

Not sure I can watch this. Agree about series one of the missing. When the mum was getting remarried and imagined her little boy in the room. Oh god. Welling up just thinking about that scene.
Can you imagine never knowing what had happened to your child?

furlinedsheepskinjacket · 24/09/2017 21:20

this is crud innit

they are far too cheery

Whatshouldmyusernamebe · 24/09/2017 21:26

It's actually a bit shit and dull.

Beingrippedoff · 24/09/2017 21:34

Wtf is going on with his friend??

Lyn29 · 24/09/2017 21:35

This is not what I thought.....but then I didn't really know what to expect. The trailer gave me goosebumps but at the moment I'm a bit Confused

Slartybartfast · 24/09/2017 21:36

Shades of Don't look now, particularly with the yellow coat

Luncharmstrong · 24/09/2017 21:38

Benedict is outacting every other person in the story.
Poor Kelly McDonald . She doesn't stand a chance against him.

Being Scottish I really dislike her accent. It's what my kids call drama school Scottish. John Hannah does it too. I can't understand how real Scottish people manage to sound fake !

That dinner at his parents ' house looks good

Luncharmstrong · 24/09/2017 21:40

The parents of the missing girl aren't convincing as a couple

Beingrippedoff · 24/09/2017 21:40

I know lunch I was thinking that too!

Dancergirl · 24/09/2017 21:40

I'm confused already! Why aren't the police investigating the little girl's disappearance?

Snap8TheCat · 24/09/2017 21:41

I like KM’s blue coat

Dancergirl · 24/09/2017 21:41

And that bit in the remote cottage... so they've split up but have slept together??

Slartybartfast · 24/09/2017 21:42

The teacher from The History Boys appears to be having a break down, with his wife looking on

Whatshouldmyusernamebe · 24/09/2017 21:43

Having just read plot of the book online it's set 2 years in the future. Not sure how we were meant to know that?

LightastheBreeze · 24/09/2017 21:43

I wondered why they weren’t looking for her but I think it’s just about their life in general after she had disappeared, I doubt there will be a conclusion, it’s a bit slow.

Slartybartfast · 24/09/2017 21:43

I assume it is some time later

Lyn29 · 24/09/2017 21:44

His tidying up his garden on tv!! 😫

Beingrippedoff · 24/09/2017 21:44

I think the lack of hullabaloo was to help us know that quite some time has passed

Whatshouldmyusernamebe · 24/09/2017 21:46

Yeh but it wasn't obvious. It's really boring and slow.

Dancergirl · 24/09/2017 21:47

Thanks, I am rubbish with plots!

RainbowPastel · 24/09/2017 21:50

luncharmstrong I don't get the cumberbatch love he is so wooden. He only has two facial expressions.

LightastheBreeze · 24/09/2017 21:50

I suppose it’s like real life, a bit dull, I’m obviously watching too much Dr Foster and Liar Grin

Piggywaspushed · 24/09/2017 21:53

Can we add David Tennant to your list too?
He spent so long being English in stuff, I no longer believe his Scottish accent is real!

darksideofthemooncup · 24/09/2017 21:56

I had high hopes for this but it's actually really boring

riskmatrix · 24/09/2017 21:56

I'm lost, who is the guy in the woods and how is he connected to the government?
