Anyone else looking forward to GBBO starting again?

I know it won't be the same without Mary, Mel and Sue but it's still got cake!

I like it, I wasn't that fussed on mel and sue. I just like looking at cakes.

Ooooh Kate's cake is v pretty

The ad break feels so icky. Like being in bed with a hot man and he hopes out a crucial moment to make a phone call.

Plus Noel's best behaviour voice is both insipid and creepy.

Dr Oetker is the worst name for a baking products company. Bakers aren't German, they are from Devon. And bakers are not doctors.

Dr Oetker is a nuclear scientist not a baker.

@tigercub50 have you watched the Taskmaster series? She was on that and it just displayed even more what a lovely person she is.

So far I can't hate it, it's too much the same as it was, while also not trying to pretend it hadn't changed at all.

BUT.... I still miss Mary and Mel&Sue despite the fact that I adore Sandi and rather like Noel...

I've not watched Bake Off before, but surely the actual stars are always the contestants? Although the illustrator has won my heart early on.

He is a really lovely Chap Soup. I am beyond impressed with how well he has done to get on GBBO. All self taught too, no idea how far he goes as it is all kept well under wraps.

The ads are annoying... but the MOST annoying bit is that we get 15 mins less bake off action.

I'm in love, I really liked the bake off before but really struggled with Mel and Sue because they did my head in.
