I'm in denial that it is nearly September.

I am looking forward to Flushing Meadows. I feels like ages ages since I was able to 'watch' any tennis.

Not a great start for Djok- he's lost in the first round of the doubles. I suspect he entered that to get some match play, as he really hasn't had much at all this year.

Goffin just suffered a pretty big loss against Sousa- 0-6 1-6. Ouch!

And now Djok has lost to Benoit Paire.

It's really not going well for Novak!

Hi may I join you? Have only just discovered this thread! AFAIK Goffin's hand-eye coordination has been badly affected by that freak injury he had to his eye. I'd no idea it had been that serious

You will have to forgive my waffling. I can't 'watch live at the moment as I don't have Sky- I think I will finally get to watch Barcelona or Monte Carlo, before the French.

It's a shame about Goffin. I hope He's ok- he had a good clay season last year until his injury in Paris.

I have high hopes for Delpo.seen he isn't playing Monte Carlo, but that's probably a wise move

I would waffle all day about tennis if I could! I saw some of the Djokovic match. He didn't look himself at all - very lethargic. I am not really a fan of his but it's sad to see him like this.

Private I feel the same way about Djok, I've never been a fan, but I do think the way he has lost his form (and all confidence, it seems) is quite sad for the game.

Just watching Sport Relief- it's a sketch with Andy Murray and Michael McIntyre. .

(regulars to the thread will know I'm not a Murray fan, but this is quite funny)

I wonder if Roger will play one of the smaller clay tournaments now, though. There was no need for him to play Rotterdam- other than to get to number 1, before Rafa played in Acapulco (which in the end he didn't).

Wouldn't surprise me if he turned up in Munich,just to claim a few points...

Grrr- this laptop is driving me potty at the moment.

Of course, Rafa has a lot of points to defend between the end of April and June.

Roger has said he won't be playing on clay but maybe he will change his mind.

I've read the ATP site now. I didn't actually think Roger would play on clay. He's worked too hard to claw back some of the head to head deficit against Rafa to risk it.

I hope Delpo can go on to a good run in Miami now. He said in his interview he didn't play well in his first match, and will have to do better against Nishikori. He has a tough draw.

oooh!! I've found the tennis. It's on Sky sports Mix(we only have the most basic Virgin package- and occasionally, I find Sky does this, and shows tournaments on Mix randomly).

Hopefully (when Cilic is finished here) they might show Juan...

I have just been looking at the forthcoming tournament list (as you do) and remembered Queen's is no longer run by Aegon anymore. There was an announcement the other day, but I didn't pay attention.

It is now the Fever Tree Championship. It just doesn't sound right.

The commentary about Shapovolav getting the trainer out got on my nerves. He was only there for a couple of minutes. They seemed to imply he was feigning injury which I don't think he was.

Yes I don't know which commentator it was but they were saying that if someone gets injured they should forfeit the match which is absolutely ridiculous. Denis just needed his knee taped up and then he was good to go.

That's annoying about SkyMix. The women's seems to be on BTSport if you have that Raahh?

I don't have Bt sport, Jane ,at least, I don't think I do- channels seem to appear and disappear .

When the clay season starts, I will be able to watch a few more things, I think.

Looks like Cilic has lost to Isner. That's not god. I've never warmed to Isner, he's one of those players who has always been 'there'.

I've noticed Raonic is currently experimenting with the lovely Goran as his coach, having had Bjorkman on trial the other week.

It's always nice to catch a glimpse of Goran.
