Seafood twat meeting the blogger and her mate who can't cook, that's my bet for the next cook off (partly because I've forgotten some people)

crisscrosscranky · 09/09/2017 07:30

Mark and Chris seem 'close'.

I always get confused in early weeks as there are so many couples! I enjoy the team challenges.

Where do Pete and Manu go between courses when contestants are bitching? I'd lock Pete in my bedroom

TizzyDongue · 09/09/2017 08:23

Same here crisscrosscranky, there's so many of them I forget people.

One of my DSs was watching yesterday's with me and asked if Mark and Chris were a newly married couple as they seemed so found of each other. I had just thought they lacked the stereotypical australia 'macho' so many men try and display on this programme.

The two older ladies - who are evidently goung to be this groups couple we dislike are a couple though despite nor coming on the programme as such.

I've a soft spot on MKR for parent/child couples so pleased to see the mother and daughter.

Also was interested how Colin left them know the 'elimination twist'. Other thing anyone know the other judge?

Funny you mention the Pete and Manu thing crisscrosscranky. As I know on past series on the threads thie r absences has been noted, but there were a few episodes this time where they showed them there joining in and laughing. Still not there all the time though are they.

This is the first time I've seen Pete & Manu between courses too. Wonder where they go if they do leave though?

My memory is failing me - what happens after these initial eliminations?

Jem55 · 09/09/2017 10:13

Have seen this series and won't be watching any future series........ it's not about the cooking this season just the egotistical prats taking part.

TizzyDongue · 09/09/2017 10:20

Thanks for that Jem55 - that's just what this thread needed someone to come along and set up an expectation of the rest of the show based on their personal opinion.

It always is Jen, no different this series - and part of the attraction for me. It would be very dull if just about the cooking. You could record it and FF the bits you don't like?

Jem55 · 09/09/2017 10:53

Second if I FF I would be FF the whole show lol. Will stick to Master chef and Smile

TizzyDongue · 09/09/2017 10:56

Agree secondhoneymoon there's always been characters every year - but the cooking has been important. Setting up the idea it was not about that is naff - Though strikes me as unlikely recalling the two men and the brother/sister from the first group

I agree with Jem, the pantomime villians get on my tits. I watch despite that nonsense. I love Masterchef Australia.

Jem55 · 09/09/2017 19:22

Textpectation masterchef Australia.........one of the best. Has it been on in u.k yet this year?.......the standards are amazing.

MiddleClassProblem · 09/09/2017 21:45

I think the brother and sister, sister in particular will prob turn out to be lovely, just socially awkward. I think this was why the British show didn't work, because it was a bit blah.
This is basically a step up from come dine with me and less aggy than Hell's Kitchen.

Textpectation · 10/09/2017 00:29

It's being shown at the same time as this. They just had the Art Installation thingy and blind taste test elimination . It was ruddy marvellous.

MrsG841 · 10/09/2017 12:15

I bloody love masterchef australia as well...the standards so far this early on makes me think this season is going to be a cracker of a season

TizzyDongue · 11/09/2017 21:25

Why would you be surprised that something described as a hamburger is a hamburger?

OP posts:
MrsG841 · 13/09/2017 07:44

Anyone else find the 2 business women really irritating?

TizzyDongue · 13/09/2017 08:02

Yes!! My hamburger comment was about one of them.

They are awful people aren't they.

OP posts:
secondhoneymoon · 13/09/2017 13:17

Yes really irritating

MrsG841 · 13/09/2017 15:17

Hope they fall flat on their faces.

I had no sympathy for the cousins last night...tried to do Lebanese but didnt stick to tradition

TizzyDongue · 14/09/2017 20:30

Never had goat curry. Really fancy it now.

Textpectation · 14/09/2017 21:12

They'll either be amazing or shite. As we've already had a critical team that could walk the walk, I'm hoping thy fall on their arses.

All this " just saying like it is" WTAF? They can only speak for themselves. Well done on the team challenges you chumps.
In other news a glitterball Glitterball.

TizzyDongue · 14/09/2017 21:15
Glitterball

Oooh!

OP posts:
Textpectation · 14/09/2017 22:47

Textpectation · 15/09/2017 19:40

As harsh as the bizzness wimin have been there scores have been comparable to the rest of the contestants.

I'm surprised that Cyn is Mell's boss. House is lovely.

Hate the unsporting nonsense
