Think Valerie and Courtney were. In the episode where the cooked breakfast - lunch and then dinner.

Coffee pumpkin?

Wonder where the other dishes go?

They plates 12 - the judges have 3. Noticed the same in the round where they had no time to create a 3 course meal too - create 2 gave 1 dish to judges.

It's strange that contestants can get so far without really being tested. Thanks for the reminder, yeah I think they both had been.

I'm happy with the results.

ellenanora5 · 26/10/2017 23:16

I think Valerie and Courtney deserved that in fairness, Tim and Kyle are bloody good, but I wonder when you're fast tracked like they were is it worth it, the others get a lot more cooking time and especially in the ultimate instant restaurant they see everyone's highs and lows which has to be a good thing.

I wondered that about the plates, I presume the remaining contestants on the gallery get to try the food but where the rest goes is beyond me.

I want Amy and Tyson to win, if they can hold it together I think they'll do it.

MissingMo · 26/10/2017 23:46

I'm sure some of the spare plates go to be recorded for those in between shots and descriptions of the meals

HSMMaCM · 27/10/2017 09:13

I often think the judges are probably guessing who cooked each dish, but in these semi finals it was bleeding obvious Grin

TizzyDongue · 27/10/2017 19:50

Just sat down to watch!! We have reached the conclusion of the last two months!!!

Ellen, after months of keeping under the radar I opened mn 70 mins in on threads I'm on and saw I think Valerie and Courtney deserved that in fairness. I thought nooooo, what kind of dollop am I to have spoilt it for myself. Phew.

I thought it was really mean that they tried to rattle Tyson by shouting 'Angry, angry..'

I thought they'd sent Dunc and Court to Coventry cos they were sat in their own. They all swapped tables for each course.

Loved it, see you next year. (Sprinkles gold ticker tape)

Off to Google Fishface.

Thought for a bit Court n Dunc weren’t there, then I spotted them but they were awfully quiet - maybe they felt a tad embarrassed of their/Courts behaviour Confused
I am chuffed the champs are who they are Smile

Textpectation · 28/10/2017 00:41

Catching up on my gossip since this aired in April and there's not much about Fishface and Amy's current status.

Court had a baby girl Isla in Aug; Tully had a babygirl Margot (in July?); David was arrested for cocaine possession and Betty's been on holidays in bikinis.

Textpectation · 28/10/2017 00:43

I forgot about that annoying credit card thing C&D used to do.

Amy (batting Merrins) takes a lovely photograph.

ellenanora5 · 28/10/2017 00:44

Oh no Textpectation sorry about that, bet for a minute you were kicking yourself.

Great result tonight, delighted for Amy and Tyson, they've been fantastic all the way through.

That was horrible when the crowd were shouting at him, very unfair but he held it together.

I'm going to read the link now.

Thanks for the thread TizzyDongue, it's been great, catch you all next time Grin

Textpectation · 28/10/2017 15:21

Not your fault Ellen.

I once found the winners out by mistake and so I try to be careful. Good job we're not in Australia, it would have been all over FB.

Josh tried to say it was the network's producers that made him play the bad guy, including locking him in a room. Midwives and Dana/Tully set the record straight and said there were much worse things and he was edited sympathetically.

newidentiy · 28/10/2017 19:55

I have just been Googling to see if Mkr New Zealand will be back as I am missing Mkr already. It looks as if Pete and manu have taken over hosting and it is in Sept to Nov in be a Zealand. Has anybody else seen this and know if it will be on in UK?

secondhoneymoon · 29/10/2017 06:14

I've known who won for most of the series (never google!) but still enjoyed the final. Thank you all for your company throughout x

youngestisapsycho · 29/10/2017 13:12

I knew who won cos the first time I saw the programme a few weeks ago, I googled to see what it was all about and the first google result were the winners!!😡still really enjoyed it though....

Textpectation · 29/10/2017 13:22

A&T were the clear winners all of the way through for me. Other than the BBQ on the beach I think they were good all of the way thru.

I googled in error the year the British fellas won.

desperatelyseekingcaffeine · 29/10/2017 19:02

Although I didn't like them at the start I'm really pleased they won. Their food was diverse and well executed and they were always fair to the other teams.

TizzyDongue · 30/10/2017 13:12

Just sat down with a coffee and turned on the tv. MKR-UK is on. It has a really limp feeling isn't it? Even the voice over is lacking in power!

Funny isn't it how we started our disliking Tyson - delighted he and Amy won

Till next year!!

OP posts:
secondhoneymoon · 30/10/2017 18:55

I think Tyson was so direct to the point of being rude but he improved greatly and I really admired Amy for how she supported him and kept her cool, very deserving winners.
Also watching UK and it is nowhere near as appealing. Shame they've been on at the same time - might have enjoyed it more before the Australian one started

roundtable · 30/10/2017 18:59

I finished watching it.

The slight sympathy I had for josh rapidly vanished the following episode. Grin

What a horrible person.

I was glad Amy and Tyson won in the end. They were the most creative.

Textpectation · 30/10/2017 20:08

I started watching MKR UK but have stopped. I like Glynn Purnell but it just doesn't float my boat. I Ike the first series with Lorraine Pascale and Jason Atherton version which is on Sky on demand.

I really missed it today. Thank goodness for Masterchef Australia.

TizzyDongue · 31/10/2017 22:12

I just had a thought. How come none of us mentioned Amy and Tyson's brother's moustache.
