Hello my people!
I couldn't post before as I hadn't caught up. The xbox has serioysly hampered my viewing habits recently, thank you DS.
I quite liked Tyson, it seemed pretty clear to me from the off that he might have an ASD. I loved the fact that him and his sister could actually cook.
I can't understand how the sisters got such a high score. Yes, they could cook but they weren't terribly technical. I have a soft spot for the hipsters, I think they were accomplished cooks but misjudged portion sizes. Having said that, their S'mores looked quite over busy. I can't believe that the woman with the mean face , Alysa?, said that Court was emotionally unstable. Her and her shitbag of a husband are dreadful people but great television. I really hope they fall flat on their arses on their night.
Mr Seafood King is a twat too, why didn't he stick up for his wife when ugly fucker Bulky Guy was unbelievably rude?

Episode aired 4th September - The Seafood King and his (more attractive) wife.

Don't know why he didn't stand up for her. Maybe it was edited out - hope it was anyway. Hope he didnt because he thinks its true. The whole him being attractive/a model is nuts anyway!!!!

I'm utteRly. DELIGHTED how tonight turned out for him - bonus that it was her dish that scored best.

I'd be very interested to see them cook again just to see if it were a one off bad day.

Ellenora, Pete and Manu give the tiniest of eyerolls. I bet they slag them off with the crew afterwards. Especially people that gag on the tiniest morsels of fish in a fecking cooking competition.

Sour grapes and those scoring strategically are very annoying. I hate the mean contestants doing well.

Hubris like tonight is cringey. Don't they practise? Lots of the partners seem weaker.

Loving the series, I've watched it all so know who wins, no spoilers from me, but it's a great series.

I'd love to go to one of the cook off stall days. All that yummy food. Mmmm

Obviously I love this show and I'm just catching up after being on holiday. Alyssa and Matt are awful and his comment about batting merrins was terrible. He then compounded it by saying there were too many feminists at the table and they needed to lighten up. Also don't understand how you could not eat fish (allergies aside) of any description.

Watch Manu when he gives a really good critique and couples then pick up the tiniest detail and try to slate the dish. He puts his hand in front of his mouth and tries not to smirk.

I think it's going to be a tough call between Josh, Matt and Alyse over who is the biggest arse.

Well that was a thoroughly enjoyable episode. What were they thinking? Just a basic lack of common sense and they appear to have very little culinary knowledge. Those sauces! That fish! That god awful pudding.
I found myself more irritated with Amy than I expected. Such an annoying couple.

Do they not practise the week before? All the problems they had could have been ironed out if they had.

Okay, I've googled it. Trent Merrin is a Rugby star whose girlfriend was a glamorous professional surfer.

I'd actually been thinking that no one this year has made the guests waiting for a ridiculously long time between courses.

The whole batting merrins comment was just unbelievable!!

I really don't like Josh - I'm not sure why I dislike him more than Mr Bat Merrins - for some reason I expected, back in the kitchen, Mr Seafood King to blame Ms Seafood for the starter not getting a great review from the judges - because the squid was praised and the stiffing wasn't. There's just something about the balance of their relationship I don't like - him lack of defending her with the batting merrins didn't help.

Just watching tonight's episode. My favourite bit in the recap:

Josh's glee was nasty, what a snide toad and his missus (batting Merrins) wasn't much better. What a dick about the scores, definitely thinks he wears the trousers.

Can't wait for tomorrow.

I hate the use of the word protein every episode. It's meat!
