TheOnly I don't know! Maybe it's the golden age of Borg/Mac/Connors - my mum was watching them on tv when I was young.

A lot of them look better older! Especially Aranxta and Martina. Chrissie was always gorgeous, but she's incredible for 63!

They have all aged well. Chrissie was always so glam.

Sampras, also 45 ,hasn't aged so well(imo) . But he was never a looker.

They looked more like towels to me! I've only just realised that the roof is open again, so I wonder if this doesn't finish before 9, if they'll close the roof and play the women's doubles or postpone it until tomorrow?

That women's doubles final was bizarre. How did the runners up even get to the final? They were woeful!

DH and I passed the time by speculating on what exactly it was that Vesnina shouted each time she hit the ball.

Missed the rest of the evening, and fell asleep early.

Raining here ( and dd1 off to her last football tournament of the season), which dh is taking her to, as I have to do things this morning so this afternoon is free.

I really hope Marin wins, he can play well against Roger- and beat him-- and he's playing better than he was last year. So long as it isn't like yesterday, but I don't think it will be. The crowd will be very pro- Roger, I imagine.
You didn't even have to be watching the first set to know whether Venus won a point, or Garbine, you could tell by the crowd noise. Today will probably be the same.

I will research how to say 'come on! Marin' in Croatian.

It's actually quite nice to watch the first slam of the year where I'm relatively impartial, though.

I wonder if Goran will be there to watch, or commentating for 5live ( or practicing his moves for Strictly). That would be nice.

Looking forward to the tennis today. I like both players but would like to see Cilic win. Hope it's a good match - hope that Cilic doesn't get overwhelmed. I know he's won a Grand Slam before but thought he looked a bit nervous on some big points in the semis.

Pleased that muguruza won yesterday although it was very one sided in the end.
