Am most excited & thought the grass needs a new thread.

I'll stick my neck out & say Fed to win the mens' & Carolina Plisshkova (sp?) for the womens'.

Yes I'm sure Rosol will get a mention at some point - probably from Andrew castle.

I can usually hold a grudge against any player who beats Rafa in the early rounds.

I've just about forgiven Dustin brown but not sure about Rosol yet!

Trivial question.....Does the all-white rule apply to visible underwear? Getting irritated by Venus's bra-straps.

I don't want Halep to do well today, though I usually like her. She's playing Marina Erakovic of NZ and we never do well at these things. (Although one of the men's doubles winners at RG was a Kiwi.)

JaneJeffer I have discovered (I use Freesat) that the red button is available by going to channels number 998, 997, 996 etc. Just have to scroll back to them & don't have to bother to push the red button & wait.

Have to say am delighted to see Kyrigos out - I loathe him.

I used not to be interested in the women (well I did in the era of Martinia, Stefii etc) but I think the game there is chaging & becoming better again.

Magi it was a major revelation to me (sad life obvs) last year when I realised I could go to the 99* buttons and get all the RB stuff instead of going into iPlayer which always takes so long and isn't nearly as user friendly if you want to flip through channels.

Anyone got tickets to Wimbledon this year? Me and DD went last year on the Middle Sunday which was lovely. May go one day this week but I've never queued before and don't know if I can be arsed to wait around for hours.

I live too far away to be able to go. I remember fondly my one trip in 1994. It was ladies quarter finals day, I saw Lynsey Davenport play Conchita Martinez (my friend's dad worked there, we got special tickets, that we shared amongst 6 of us during the day).

I sat two rows behind Cliff.

I have to say, considering he's not played on grass for 2 years, he is not doing too bad a job today. I always get nervous watching Rafa. I get especially nervous at Wimbledon- it was quite good for my nerves that he didn't play last year.

I'm going this Friday on court no 1. I've been a few times before but not managed to get tickets for the last 4 years. I've never seen Rafa - not sure if I will do this year either. Hopefully will see someone good though and it's just such a lovely place to visit (please don't rain!)

They are in process of building a roof on court no 1 but won't be in place for a few years.

That was a pretty emphatic win.

But I'm starting to hate John Inverdale and his constant droning about time between points, even more than I loathe Andrew Castle. And that's saying something. He ruined RG at times for me.
