We could get rid of a few that way.

OP posts:
Whatshouldmyusernamebe · 02/10/2017 20:52

Oh this is horrible. Surely he won't get away with it. Poor Bethany.

TopBitchoftheWitches · 02/10/2017 21:24

That type of questioning is why I am never to go into a court room.
If they had spoken to me like that, that's bad enough (I will say exactly what I think), if that had been my daughter, I would probably been removed from the court room.

It's an awful storyline.

eddiemairswife · 02/10/2017 21:33

Where did the car that Mel was driving come from?

Sillysausage123 · 02/10/2017 22:08

Did mel kill the girl? Or did she jump?

Optimist1 · 02/10/2017 22:47

My money is on Mel making a dramatic entrance into the courtroom at the eleventh hour and telling all. Cue tears aplenty from the Platts and scowling from Nathan and Bent Cop.

honeyroar · 02/10/2017 22:56

I hope so. The girl who plays Bethany is a good actress, even with a pretty crap script!

And what about Eva and Adam? What's going to happen there? Surely it's a rebound? Although there seem to be a lot of those around on Corrie.

Optimist1 · 02/10/2017 23:25

Ten minutes ago Eva hated Aiden; five minutes ago Eva loved Aiden again; now she's leaping on Adam. Shallow or what? Hmm

honeyroar · 02/10/2017 23:37

Yes, a bit like Michelle and Steve and Michelle and Robert!

NoCryLilSoftSoft · 03/10/2017 00:07

Oooh I just wanted to punch that barrister who referred to Nathan as Bethany's boyfriend. Grrr. Obviously deliberately goady. I half expected someone to object to it.

Housewife2010 · 03/10/2017 07:06

Is anyone watching the ancient Coronation St repeats on ITV3? I woke up early this morning and I've just watched a couple in bed. Susan Barlow is seeing Mike Baldwin and has just found out about his affair with Deirdre. It's very cosy and Northern. - Lots of chat about corned beef hash and wrongly priced fruity sauce. When did the factory girls stop wearing overalls?

Akire · 03/10/2017 09:04

Thanks Housewife they are on repeat later so will record them. I though it was stunt by Nathan’s
Pal but looks like she just killed her self because of grooming and Mel knew her and took part in it.

Why does Phelon keep dropping hints about Andy?

Housewife2010 · 03/10/2017 10:36

Akire. I havent noticed any Andy hints. What were they? Also, does anyone remember if Phelan & Eileen went on honeymoon? How can he ever go away unless he leaves a huge amount of food for Andy? Does Andy have any washing or toilet facilities? My daughter and I are concerned about the state of his teeth if they havent been brushed since January.

NoCryLilSoftSoft · 03/10/2017 11:23

He was interrupting zeedan and ken Barlow's son last night in the cafe saying how he knew the guy who used to work in the bistro was all into his poetry. Zeedan asked him how he knew that and Pat turned round all creepy like and says he used to be his landlord.

Housewife2010 · 03/10/2017 11:49

I didnt notice that. Thank you.

MusicToMyEars800 · 03/10/2017 12:20

I noticed that NoCry Grin I want to know where they are going with this it's dragging, makes no sense and is just plain ridiculous!

It will probably be an xmas storyline.

NoCryLilSoftSoft · 03/10/2017 12:30

It really makes no sense at all. Do the writers even know where they're going with it? It doesn't seem so. It feels like they were under pressure for a story and someone said "I know, we'll pretend phelan has had Andy in a basement since he left" but they didn't really think much beyond that. I mean what would phelan's motivation be? Surely he would have just killed Andy way back when we thought he had. It's not like he hasn't killed before. What purpose does it serve for phelan to keep him locked up for months? He gets nothing out of it. Just hassle and risk.

MusicToMyEars800 · 03/10/2017 12:36

NoCry Exactly, It's beyond ridiculous, I don't even think the writer have thought it through, It was probably an idea born after a night out drinking Grin Why didn't Phelan just finish the job the first time round?!

I wonder if they are looking to bring Steph back then and have them all reunited and Pat Phelan will be sent down for his crimes.

Clawdy · 03/10/2017 12:48

The problem is, they want to keep Pat Phelan. So they're going to ridiculous lengths to keep his story going. I don't know anyone who is remotely enjoying the storyline, it is absolute rubbish.

NoCryLilSoftSoft · 03/10/2017 13:02

I agree and actually Pat is a great character. They should keep him. But the Andy character and actor don't do Pat justice. Never mind the storyline. Pat deserves a much better storyline. One that has been planned out start to finish rather than an afterthought.

SumAndSubstance · 03/10/2017 14:42

I'd be fascinated to know whether, when they had Phelan bump Andy off, they actually knew that he hadn't really bumped him off, but was planning to keep him indefinitely as a sort of cellar pet, or did they come up with it a storyline meeting (do you think they have those?): "I don't really know what to do next. Do we need some new characters?" "I miss some of the old characters. I don't think we should have had Andy bumped off" "Well, you know what, nobody actually saw his corpse, did they?" "Did they not?" "No, watch it back; I'll show you!"

Akire · 03/10/2017 15:44

He was asking before for dish from bistro that was Andy favourite and mentioned about him in other ways too. He has bucket for a loo seen few times. But bet he is honking by now

eddiemairswife · 03/10/2017 15:55

Nothing else has been mentioned about Jake's need for speech therapy. I thought that was why Gary decided to carry on with his dangerous job, though what it entails is anyone's guess; pop over to Ukraine for a couple of days, come back with a bruised back, get moody, have a one-night stand, go back to Ukraine etc. etc......

NoCryLilSoftSoft · 03/10/2017 16:21

Yes the favourite dish was because he was serving it to Andy as his last meal before he killed him. But then he didn't kill him.

Ontheboardwalk · 03/10/2017 23:36

Housewife thanks for the info that ITV are showing old episodes. I hope they show them all up to now.

I 'went' to Weatherfield High and Ken Barlow, sorry Mr Barlow was my teacher. Would love to see those episodes again.

Housewife2010 · 04/10/2017 06:57

I've just watched this morning's ancient episodes - Sally was introduced after Kevin splashed her with a puddle. Audrey was looking at the details of a 3 bedroom detached house with a garden - for 42k!
