We could get rid of a few that way.

Gemma is supposed to be 26? Why is she acting 18 at most then?

keepondreaming · 01/09/2017 22:55

I agree @Stillwaitingforsummer - please can we have no spoilers on here!!
There is another thread for spoilers @ToEarlyForDecorations

deloresclaiborne · 02/09/2017 07:28

gemma was sitting in the pub moaning about her life when she mentions shes 26.
I don't think the writers have thought it through as it doesn't tie in with how she acts and looks, maybe they have mentioned her age cos shes going to be ritas carer (not a spoiler I'm guessing)

BoysofMelody · 02/09/2017 11:49

gemma was sitting in the pub moaning about her life when she mentions shes 26.

I thought about that age. She was Kylie's mate and wasn't she in her 20s. I know plenty of people who acted like that at 26, simply because their lives hadn't moved on from their teenage years. Still living in their parent's house or hanging around with the same bunch of divvy school mates or hanging around bored on street corners.

Iwantacampervan · 03/09/2017 18:12

Corrie on tonight 7pm - 8pm. Not on tomorrow due to football - again!

Optimist1 · 03/09/2017 18:22

Whew - thanks for the tipoff, campervan - I hadn't spotted that it was on tonight.

I agree please keep spoilers to the spoilers thread. This thread is for our particular, peculiar brand of crazed speculation.

That's rather ruined when someone comes and, basically, spoils it.

LineysRun · 03/09/2017 19:25

The whole Phelan thing is very disturbing.

Slinkymalinky1 · 03/09/2017 19:42

Has Tina come back from the dead??

GunslingerPie · 03/09/2017 19:49

Slinky I came on especially just to say that!! Wow! A dead ringer much?!

Slinkymalinky1 · 03/09/2017 19:52

She even talks like her! I'm surprised they've got someone who looks so alike her. In real life, someone would have mentioned it by now Grin

GunslingerPie · 03/09/2017 19:54

Exactly the same thoughts here, even her mannerisms are the same, a strange choice of casting!!

SymphonyofShadows · 03/09/2017 19:58

I'm totally confused about the Gandy business now. I wasn't giving it my full attention but Phelan wanted him dead one minute and was trying to save him the next.

LineysRun · 03/09/2017 20:16

I didn't understand any of it tonight.

eddiemairswife · 03/09/2017 20:18

Phelan has recovered his Catholic conscience since meeting his daughter. He went to confession a few weeks ago, but didn't go through with it.

I don't understand Sally and the mayoral election. We don't vote for local council mayors, just for councillors. Andy Burnham is one of the new regional mayors, with responsibility for Greater Manchester. I don't recall him stepping down.

LineysRun · 03/09/2017 20:32

Yy, eddie. The only people who can vote for local authority mayors are other serving councillors.

Sillysausage123 · 03/09/2017 20:47

The scenes with gandy and Phelan did anyone else struggle to see as it was so dark what was going on?
It might be my to but I really struggled to see anything on those scenes

SweetestThing · 03/09/2017 21:16

I was only half watching tonight - who is the Tina lookalike?

LineysRun · 03/09/2017 21:22

I agree, the Gandy / Phelan scenes are very badly lit so you can't see them properly. I presumed it was deliberate - 'dark scenes' and all that - but it's impossible to see them.

Spam88 · 03/09/2017 21:25

Think it's your TVs, I could see everything fine.

Seriously unimpressed that someone's posted a spoiler 😑

Clawdy · 03/09/2017 22:19

Bit difficult to avoid spoilers when most newspapers and tv magazines carry spoiler headlines, not to mention the tv listings in every newspaper. Incidentally, my post was removed because it contained a spoiler. I was actually commenting on a previous post, revealing a storyline about Rita. That post is still there!

Stillwaitingforsummer · 03/09/2017 22:28

I couldn't see anything in the dark scenes. Did he hit his mouth so was able to go to the doctors to get antibiotics for Andy?

Stillwaitingforsummer · 03/09/2017 22:29

I see what you mean clawdy

AnneEyhtMeyer · 03/09/2017 22:32

Yes, even if the spoiler is on every front page, referred to on every daytime programme, totally obvious, we don't talk about it on this spoiler-free thread. It is just one of our things.
