Why keep Andy alive? What is the long tern plan? I thought Andy would return but that Phelan had warned him off. Trying to keep a hostage is a lot of work - how does Andy go to the loo - can't see Phelan dealing with that! I knew such a wooden actor as Andy would be back - who else would employ him?

Yes - It always seemed strange that Emily gave Norris the house (in return for him taking over the maintenance costs). Surely she would have wanted to leave Spider an inheritance? I do hope Rita is not going to have a dementia storyline - I hope she has something else which is treatable

Barbara Knox is a poor actress. She couldn't handle a dementia storyline. There are other elderly characters to whom it would have been better suited.

Scrabbler to be fair Barbara Knox has been in it as long as I can remember and I'm nearly fifty, she's not a bad actress at all, its the shit storyline, she should retire and go with grace, like Mavis did

Did anyone notice that new advert for Corrie? It flicked through filming moments of Corrie over the years and at the end there was, what I believe to be, a moment from Eva's future wedding. Won't say anything incase it's viewed as a spoiler. Looks good.
I couldn't wait to check out the thread to see everyone's reactions to Andy. Well at least that settles the obscurity of his demise. As far fetched and ridiculous as it was. His beard was way too neat btw!

Yes Dandelion I saw the advert, but thought the wedding was a clip from the past, I obviously wasn't paying too much attention to it
I thought it would drag out until xmas, But part of me thinks that's when the Will being obsessed with Michelle story will come to light.

One of the plots (Michelle/Will or Phelan/Andy) will probably be the focus on the soap special week (can't remember what they call it) that they do (like Emmerdale) when it is meant to be super exciting (last year Anna got burnt). If the special week is soon then I suppose the Eva/Aidan story will come to a head then.

Suggestions for the soap special week ... Will kidnaps Michelle and gets away with it, never to be seen again, Phelan sees the error of his ways and enters a monastery, Tracey and Robert make up, buy a winning lottery ticket and sail off into the sunset ... any more suggestions?

Although I dislike Jenny, I feel it would be very selfish of Eva if she plans to reveal all on the wedding day.

ozy - Andy is the one who pretended to be Gavin (Gail's husband's son) who worked in the Bistro and was beaten up and taken away in a rolled up carpet by Phelan about 6 months ago. We all thought he was dead.

The key guy is Will, and ex classmate or boyfriend (can't remember which) of Kym Marsh, who was in it a while ago. Think they snogged or slept together but then she ended it. He is now going out with Maria.

Andy came on about 2y ago when he pretend to be his flat mate changed name etc. He then went out with the Steph who think was sister of macanic guy. She left went to Spain bear with me

Michael was his flat mate dad and he comes on the scene to find him but in the end his real flat mate dies and then he feels awful. It does come out in the wash and they refuse to forgive each other, but later they make it up.

Phealon is doing his bad ass thing at this point with flat deposits and stealing, Michael finds out and gets killed by phealin. phealon blackmss him and makes him set fire to the garage among other things just to hurt Anna. In the end Andy is planning a runner to Spain or Bristol (after breaks up with Steph) but phealon fights with him in flat.

Everyone thinks he's gone to Spain/Bristol. No girlfriend or dad so no one thinks odd. Phealon turns up late next day for his wedding and with dirty trousers. We guessed he killed him. But no mention until Friday... not sure if that helps or makes it worse!

Ahh the Live episode, no doubt it will be some sort of disaster, maybe Will speeding with Michelle tied and gagged in the back of the car and they crash or something..

Phelan actually Kills Andy when he realises there's no sense in keeping him alive chained up in some dusty dark basement.
