Can I join in? I really liked Camilla until this evening when I thought she came across as really superior. Of course she was right about the feminism stuff and right to stand her ground but perhaps it was the way she said it? Jonny came across as a total arse though and he has a serious chip on his shoulder which totally tuned in to Camilla's slight superiority complex. i personally think the researchers probably though Jonny would get on with Camilla as he has also travelled a bit if I remember correctly, but I think they perhaps underestimated her! They'll all be a bit gutted now I should imagine and I agree that the new guy for tomorrow looks more for Tyne. Can't stand Chris - or most of the other guys but have a soft spot for Marcel.

AltheaThoon · 15/06/2017 03:54

It's frustrating having that sort of conversation with someone who flatly believes that feminism has done it's work and women have equality. Many people believe that feminism is about women wanting power over men. He just didn't get it. I understand why Camilla was disheartened by the conversation and the realisation that he's not on the same book, never mind the same page, as her when it comes to issues like that. Poor Camilla. Why can't they send someone nice in who has an interest in something other than 'birds'?

LottieandMia · 15/06/2017 07:23

I don't think Johnny understood that Camilla wasn't just bitching about him for no reason - she was saying she'd noticed he doesn't tidy up and probably was wondering in the light of the earlier conversation whether he sees it as a mans job to look after a woman financially and a woman's job to tidy up after him.

MiddleClassProblem · 15/06/2017 08:50

Yes, and I who doesn't sound off to their friends about partners or dates etc. It's shot that she now feels she can't do that. And honestly, she could have said a lot worse than he serves himself first and doesn't tidy up.

MiddleClassProblem · 15/06/2017 08:51

And it's clearly true as Amber said she'd seen that too

Mulch · 15/06/2017 09:12

Kem pours his heart out to Amber. Amber "I don't need to worry about girls coming into the villa" shows her priorities.

Love love love camila as someone said she's normal as in doesn't aspire to sell polyester dresses and protein powder on Insta. I think Johnny had used this row as a get out of jail card.

Glad to see Marcel and gabby hitting it off. He's an absolute national treasure.

TheLuminaries · 15/06/2017 09:23

I am starting to feel a bit sorry for Tyne, she seems quite immature & out of her depth. I am warming to Gabby and I like how 'normal' she looks - normal boobs, normal lips, not all pumped up.

I like the girls' friendship and how they all supported Camilla and didn't judge her for her views. She dodged a bullet with Johnny, he is a knob.

AltheaThoon · 15/06/2017 10:18

I've only just seen the final conversation between them as i got called away by D's last night. Camilla really has dodged a bullet. Johnny made out that no one would share her views, that her beliefs are way out there. That's just not true. Well, it probably is true when talking about the men in the villa.

Carley27 · 15/06/2017 11:19

That was such a boring episode!

Agree! I've gone off Camilla a bit - she does seem lovely but I don't find her a very good fit for the show and I found it boring to watch her crying over being caught talking about Johnny. I did think he was unnecessarily nasty when she was trying to apologise, but did wonder if he's using this as a chance to recouple since the ball is in the boys court atm.

Felt sorry for Tyne, she seems quite sweet and it must be difficult coming into the villa later and struggling to make connections.

Looking forward to seeing another newbie enter the villa - I read that he's after Jess or Amber so hopefully some drama Grin Also read that he said he wouldn't be romantic or spend money on a girl who's had a lot of sexual partners Hmm

HurricaneHalle · 15/06/2017 11:47

Any of you able to define "Salty" for my Over40 brain please?

LottieandMia · 15/06/2017 11:49

I think salty means angry.

SpanishFly · 15/06/2017 11:56

As much as I like Camilla and her views, she needs to stop constantly crying and needing reassurance constantly

LottieandMia · 15/06/2017 12:12

Yes the continual crying is tiresome.

TipTop333 · 15/06/2017 13:02

I felt sorry for Tyne-Lexy too, and I do wonder if actually due to her young age, she hasn't actually got much experience with guys and dating. The awful attempt at flirting with Chris (I.e. the random questions) was a bit bizarre and I cringed throughout.

esk1mo · 15/06/2017 13:18

i actually really liked montana and marcel from the first episode! i think theyre both lovely and have great morals, probably because montana is a student shes a bit more level headed. marcel has been raises by a queen.

was so proud of sam for confronting chris. chris is such a creep, there is something really odd about him. sam is really lovely and normal too. could not believe olivia saying he was "devastated" and "besotted" with her !

dont like jess at all, shes very fake. she wants to be the alpha female. dom is boring. feel sorry for chloe, think shes sweet but often cant put her point across well.

camilla is starting to annoy me. of course shes sweet and innocent, but in this word you need a bit of "street awareness" if you know what i mean. eg. talking to your female friends about a guy isnt exactly
bitching? but jonny totally over reacted.

think he used that situation to split from camilla. think he liked her poshness but shes too innocent for him, i reckon hes more into the made in chelsea type girls.

still not sure about marcel and gabby! i dont think she is his type, nor him hers. theyre just each others favourite out of the bunch.

sorry for such a long post - just had to get my thoughts in Grin

Jamon · 15/06/2017 13:25

Middleclassproblem "another douche" 😂😂😂

Lottieandmia that's exactly how I read it. Seems like Jonny can't handle criticism. Was it so bad to comment that he doesn't clear up?

Mulch "national treasure" 😂😂😂

Eskimo I agree re camilla can she really be that innocent and naive? I feel she needs to 'man up' a bit too

roseanya · 15/06/2017 14:13

I totally think Camilla was in the wrong last night Shock she took his comment about paying for dinner etc completely out of context in my opinion, and turned it into an almost academic debate which is fine if you are both on the same page, but it came out of nowhere almost.

I felt very sorry for him when he stood listening to them slag him off, can't have felt nice at all, I am sure anyone would feel attacked and not want to accept an apology straight away just to ease their guilty conscience. I also think he might have been hurt and thought she liked him only to hear that she thought he was selfish, a slob, who didn't share her morals Hmm bit of a slap in the face.

Just my two cents!

I'm loving this year! Can't stand Amber and can't make my mind up about Montana...

The boys are all rank apart from Johnny who is hot in my opinion!!

MiddleClassProblem · 15/06/2017 18:59

roseanya are you his mum? 😂 I think you could run his twitter support campaign

ThisMustBeThePlace · 15/06/2017 19:23

Johnny is an arse, an ignorant arse about feminism and a moody arse to Camilla when she tried to apologise.

We are definitely seeing a good side to Montana and Marcel as time goes on.

Madbengalmum · 15/06/2017 19:27

Camilla is coming across as a whinny pain in the arse.
Jess is unpleasant and up herself.
Tyne lexi came across as very OTT with chris, but then he is a total cock.

Oblomov17 · 15/06/2017 19:37

Just watching last nights episode now.

Camila is really getting on my nerves. She's cried, at every opportunity, to everyone she's talked to. For pete's sake.

She just cried constantly in every scene. Angry

He may not be brain of Britain, but he's old fashioned, paying, it's not a crime. And I didn't think he's as anti-feminist as she's making him out to be.

She picked on one thing and made it huge.

New boy Mike looks like a knob!!

EverythingEverywhere1234 · 15/06/2017 20:11

To be fair to camilla, it would be fucking intense being in there and she clearly doesn't 'fit' so I'm not overly surprised she's emotional!

roseanya · 15/06/2017 20:57

Grin probably because I fancy him lol!!

esk1mo · 15/06/2017 21:14

sam and montana!? Shock

Sienna9522 · 15/06/2017 21:16

Esk1mo, I agree with every point you made there.
